JC is coming back w/ a big cross in the sky? Where is that scripturally?

Question: JC will return to judge the living and the dead. -sounds a little strange seeing how the dead are immediately judged and sent straight to heaven if they’ve led a “good” life. That scripture, in 2 Tim 4:1 sounds like the dead are dead and won’t be judged until his second coming…how is this explained by the Catholic church?
Particular Judgement and General Judgement. After we all see how everybody’s actions affected everything else, we’ll be assigned either Heaven or Hell at the end.

In Particular, we can still be sent to Purgatory. At the very very end, though, there wont be a Purgatory and we get to see why some were in Purgatory and why some weren’t. At the end, we see all the sins of everybody and their consequences.
I see Jesus as a warrior figure and He will come as a warrior. It will be a world event and everyone will know. No Jesus is not physically (corporal) here yet.
…Save the Eucharist?

…Save the Eucharist?
I think he meant the presence for which St. Thomas Aquinas used the phrase “local presence.” His local presence is at the right hand of the Father, whereas His presence in the Eucharist is considered a “sacramental presence” (which of course is no less real of substantial).

I agree w/ FOX…I dont think Christ will look anything like the classic Christian view. I think He’ll be big, strong, and very mighty!

How is it that there are so many ideas about judgment…i thought this topic would be a fundamental belief of the Catholic faith? -Soooo new to Catholicism…sorry so many questions!

I think we all agree there will be a judgement in the end. The question is how Jesus will show up. 😉 Personally He will come to do battle, I think He will have an aspect that we haven’t seen and evil will be conquered.

Adding on to my previous post…

According to Scripture, the sign of the Son of Man will be a cross. (The early Christians would have recognized the cross as the sign of Christ)

Also according to Scripture, Jesus will judging those who live in Him (the living) and those who do not live in Him (the dead).

And once more according to Scripture, Jesus will come with fire to renew the world. He will raise the dead and judge mankind. Those who rejected God will go to Hell; those who loved God will enter into the Kingdom of God.

No, I don’t remember the exact bible verses. 😊
