Last night my husband and I were discussing this. He is a very good man who was raised Methodist. We were married in the Catholic church and all three of our children have been baptised in the Church. We attend Mass together as a family every Sunday and all Church events. My prayer of course is for a conversion of his heart to desire to become Catholic - although the way he talks I doubt that will happen in this lifetime. While I understand that Catholics believe you do not have to be one to go to heaven - my question is how do we feel in heaven about our loved ones who don’t make it there? Do we feel sadness that they aren’t there? Do we remember them? Aren’t we reunited with our loved ones in heaven? If that is true - obviously we would know if our husband or child didn’t make it there - and how would we be happy without them? Please advise on this. It is troubling me to think about ever being separated from my husband. Thank you!
