I.would.be.interested.in.having.the.SSPX.start.a.church.in.my.city.The.roman.diocese.in.my.city.is.quite.modern.As.such.those.faithfull.that.wish.to.worship.in.the.latin.form.are.not.having.their.needs.met.and.to.be.frank.they.wont.I.believe.the.traditional.minded.;)parishoners.would.
go.to.an.SSPX.church.if.we.had.it.My.problem.is.I.live.in.Canada.and.the.Canadian.SSPX.
church.does.not.have.anyway.to.contact.anyone.by.email.What.should.I.do?
I.believe.they.will.come.into.communion.with.Rome.after.their.talks.and.as.such.would.be.
a.great.addition.to.the.Catholic.culture.in.town.
 
May you should try get information about a district office (maybe even of a country close to yours) then contact them, that’s what I did.

I really hope and pray that everything will be fine after the meeting, and that they will be in communion with Rome after this.

I know that where I used to live the local congregation that had various retired priests come in to say mass eventually invited the SSPX to come. But they already had an active group of people and a building.
 
There is no procedure for expanding a ministry that has no canonical function within the Catholic Church. There is a procedure for attempting to have the TLM celebrated within the diocese. I would recommend, if you specifially want the SSPX, to be patient until the Holy See finishes with the on-going discussions.

We still have a lot of that here in Canada 😃

I am proud to say that I have the experience to be the one person to be standing during Consecration and Prayers Before Communion in a Ukrainian parish, and the only person kneeling during Prayers Before Communion in a Roman Catholic parish. :rolleyes::confused:😛

I think the SSPX church is still in schism with the Roman church, but I could be wrong.
If they are, you could start your own SSPX church. It would be no different than any other Protestant religion.

They’re not in schism, they are suspended and have no ministry in the Church. I think by next month it will either be regular status or schism.

Okay, they are not in schism. But their “ministry” (sacrements) are suspended (illict).
What’s the difference?

Schismatics are splinter groups. The greek root says it all - they “tear” apart from the Church, thus creating a new community distinct from the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. They would have no faculties as a Catholic priest.
Can. 751 Heresy is the obstinate denial or obstinate doubt after the reception of baptism of some truth which is to be believed by divine and Catholic faith; apostasy is the total repudiation of the Christian faith; schism is the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him.

Being suspended is just that. Suspended. As Priests they cannot say Mass for the people and fulfill that priestly function because their faculties are suspended as Catholic priests.

They still fall under the jurisdiction of the Church, meaning the can be disciplined by the Church and would need to follow Canon Law.
 
Proselytizing for the SSPX or any group that is not in full communion with the Holy See or which has not yet attained canonical status is not allowed on CAF.
