I like to play a game called Halo, were you have to choose a super soldier called a Spartan and fight an alien alliance called the Covenant who is united by a religion that teaches that there are sacred Halo rings that if activated will turn the members of the Covenant religion into gods, anyway the heads of the Covenant religion are a species of aliens called Prophets they are to the other covenant species what the Pope is to us, but the prophets find out that the Halo arrays really will just destroy all life in the galaxy and that humans are the rightful inheritors of the Halo arrays, thus the Prophets decide to launch a genocidal campaign against humanity to prevent the other Covenant species from figuring out the truth, thus they end up destroying human home worlds in hopes of destroying the human race, by the way the year is 2553.
- What would the Pope say about the Covenant, would he write any encyclicas against the Covenant?
- What would future saints say about the the Covenant empire and it’s religion?
- Would there be special prayers said at mass for those who died because of the Covenant?
- Would the Church pronounce anyone to be a martyr who died for the Catholic faith at the hands of the Covenant?
