How would you answer this question, realizing that salvation is complete in Christ when we should die?

How would you answer this question
I like the answer given in the CA tract, “Assurance of Salvation?” (catholic.com/library/Assurance_of_Salvation.asp):
“Are you saved?” asks the Fundamentalist. The Catholic should reply: “As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I *will be *saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13).”
The shorter answer would be, “I am redeemed, and I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling.”

I like this as a Catholic. Of course, we’re not truly “saved” as we need to work towards our salvation everyday…

Yes I have been saved/redeemed by Christ.Yes I know He died for my sins.

But no I am not “saved” a “spot” in heaven no matter what I do.
I could turn from God in sin and be imperfect which would keep me from being saved.

And I won’t know I’m saved (in heaven) until I’m dead. Which I’m not,yet.

Saved—>past tense—>already happened.

“Saved” does not mean my spot is reserved.

“Are you saved?” asks the Fundamentalist.

The Catholic should reply:

"As the Bible says, **I am already saved **(Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8),

but **I’m also being saved **(1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12),

and **I have the hope that I will be saved **(Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15).

Like the apostle Paul **I am working out my salvation **in fear and trembling
(Phil. 2:12),

with **hopeful **confidence in the promises of Christ
(Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

I would answer, I am because I believed the Gospel and was baptised. Mark 16:16 🙂

I would say “No, I have not been saved and will not be saved until I have reached Purgatory or Heaven. As for being born again, though, I was born again at baptism.”
