How would you explain entry into your faith?

If Jesus,or God, (Allah) is the authority of your church or religion, how does one enter into your community or religion? by what name? how can you prove that Jesus, God, (Allah) resides in your community or religion ? Does one begin by pointing to history, historical facts, famous names, oaths,etc. How would you begin to explain entry into your faith?

Easier just to be a cradle Catholic/Jew/ Muslim/Buddist/etc. Then we’re already in and just have to decide if we want to move.

Very simple to become Muslim. If one is convinced heart and soul, that Allah is one and only one and there are no other gods, and Muhammad is his ProphetMessenger, and the person entering announces that loudly, he becomes Muslim. No other condition is there.

To become a Friend, one must simply state that they are “convinced” that the basic message of the Society of Friends reflects their experience with the Eternal. Becoming a Friend isn’t nearly as difficult as living a Quaker life.

Anyone can get convinced of anything, whether it’s right or wrong.

Entry into faith is probably not as important as staying in.

Getting convinced of the truth of ONENESS of God, and there is no god except Allah and that Muhammad is his truthful ProphetMessenger. As long as one witnesses it;remains steadfast on it one is a Muslim to startwith, the moment one denies that one becomes a non-Muslim, no compulsion.

God does not call us to esatblish a regilion, He calls us to follow his son. When God calls you, you will know it and you will not refuse.

Do infants have a way into your faith, even though they cannot speak, or unable to swear this oath aloud.?

Entry into faith with God, we got so far

1. One can be Born into a covenant with God
2. One has to Swear an oath to enter

3.One has to establish a relationship (family) with God

1. One has to be called to follow him and have faith in God

These are all GREAT answers!

One can be born into the family of God, come to the age of reason in order to Swear an Oath to God, thereby establishing a family (covenant) relationship with God, and to live by faith in God

Is there a faith religion that has all of the above, not just one?

What exactly did you witness?

There’s this famous old movie by a Japaneese direcror Kurosawa, called “Rashamon” It’s a story about an incident that happens and the people involved how witness it. The are brought before a court and each one has a remarkably different story to suit their own needs. The audience knows the truth, and each account is neither true or not true. It’s a comment on basic human nature.

What I am witnessing is far different than what you are.

Did anyone ever come right out and ask Muhammad who he was and what did he want? Or does everybody just assume?

How does your priest know he has been call by God, or your bishop, or even the pope

Its called unbroken Apostolic Succession, The anointing has been handed down literally by the laying on of hands to our bishops, priests, and popes since the first century. When they are called they dont go start a church, they seek out their calling and the Church helps them to understand their calling,.and it is here that they will know if the call was from God or not. Again it takes one who is called by God to know one.
