If you’re talking about Brad Pitt et al, that was supposed to be an Irish accent.I understand the overseas perception, and I won’t get into why they think that way. However, most non-Canadians won’t recognize the differences in accent. They aren’t as distinct as other differences. By the way, I despise US history. It’s way too short. I had no problem understanding British accents until I saw the movie** “Snatch.”** I have no idea what their accents were, but they were so thick I couldn’t understand it until the second time around.
