How would you rate your day so far?

I was struck by the readings today, mostly the second reading about “futility of … mind…” and “corrupted by deceitful desires”. That reading hasn’t really caught my eye much before. How to get rid of futility of mind. How to let go of all the worries.

I took a nap on the porch.
It was meaningful to me.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been wondering how you’ve been doing.
I’ve been doing quite well apart from my spiritual needs not being met, thanks for asking.

Well it’s 10 o’clock in the morning .

I have done a couple of errands , the more important being that I have stocked up with Guinness . 😉

I have just got home from today’s Eucharist on the Feast of the Transfiguration , a feast I like but which puzzles me a bit .

I found myself wondering and asking the Lord why He doesn’t do a bit of “transfiguring” for us now instead of our having to be always in the dark .

I think He wants me to rely on the Holy Spirit for enlightenment , which the Holy Spirit does give , but I don’t ask enough and don’t thank enough when it is given .

Well I’ve been up since 2am. I got about 6 hours of sleep though, so that’s good. So far I’ve been procrastinating cracking open my bible for my daily reading. It’s going to be a hot one today so I plan on staying indoors with the A/C cranked. Hmm, I should really try being productive today.

Warm day, cool fan. Comfortable chair. Fun things online. Might make it to Mass later today.
Rating 7 out of 10.

Nothing exceptional happening so far, and most likely won’t happen. Could my day be going better? Yes, but it could go a lot worse, but usually doesn’t. It is all in one’s attitude or outlook. Every day, there are so many blessings given to us if we take the time to notice.

Nothing wrong with being thankful for a sunny day, a cool breeze, or even the taste of a perfectly toasted piece of bread. 🙂

I’m not much of a swimmer for having a swimmingly good day yesterday. 😉

It got to 108F (42C). It would have been a good day for the pool if I were into that kind of thing.

My former pastor told me that sometimes the people in our lives appear to shine brighter than what they really are and that’s how we experience transfiguration today.

You’re one of those people who shine brightly in my life. Perhaps you don’t see yourself that way, but I do.

Could be better I was almost hospitalised by asthma I was forced to not go to school for a week because of asthma.

Now I have a sore throat but God is loving he helped stand up and not lay all day in bed feeling sorry because of asthma.

That’s so kind of you @tad .

In reality I am reflecting your goodness which shines out at me in all of your activity on the forum .

I work nights so I had a great day, so far, slept all day. Now it’s time for the dogs to go to the dog park and for me to discuss minutiae with the husband.

Thank you for asking.

I’d rate it a solid 7… That will jump to an 8 when dinner is done.
