How's the weather?

I’ve never been in northern France, but that’s what I like about it.

I get so confused when I see kiwis talking, it’s like they speak a language that isn’t English. 😛 then again, I think they might feel the same way about us Americans.

My mother used to live in Los Angeles so I’m going to talk to her about how the weather was when she lived there, I know that it’s not so much weather phenomena that as it is tectonic plates but she did talk a lot about earthquakes.

See, I used to be like that but now it’s cold weather I can’t stand. Even a little bit cold, I can’t stand. I am prone to hypothermia, even here in South Carolina during the winter, sometimes during autumn.

I heard France is nice. I know it’s a fairly big country by European standards, so saying “France’s weather is like” is a bit misleading, so I’m glad you specified what part.

It’s okay. I don’t like living here, and most people think I’m crazy for saying that, but it’s just not the right environment for me. I’ve been here for almost 17 years; I think I’ve given it a fair shake. It’s not objectively a bad place, either. There are certainly worse places to live.

Sizewise, France has roughly the same square mileage as Texas. In terms of area, it is the largest country in western Europe (depending, perhaps, upon how you define “Europe”). 🌍 My priest has never been to the US, and he says he’s never going because, among other reasons, he’s intimidated by its size 😆

It’s true that weather can vary greatly by location here. Tomorrow it should get up to around 16°C/61°F here while in Nîmes (all the way in the south) they’re expecting 28°C/82-83°F 😬

And imagine the temperatures on the French side of Mont Blanc. Well, either side of it…

Thanks to the Interwebz, I don’t have to imagine :+1:t4: Currently on Mont-Blanc it’s -4°C/25°F and snowing! 🌨️

Ya know, 28°C/82-83°F Nîmes and -4°C/25°F Mont-Blanc are only 185 miles (298 km) apart as the crow flies…it’s an altitude thing. ⛰️

We have mountains in the state I live in, and you would think logically that would be where our highest snowfall is, our record snowfall, Actually the record snowfall for South Carolina is in the swamps in the inner coastal plain. The coldest temperatures, however are in the mountains. Weather is really amazing isn’t it?

Hotlanta still hot. 😞 Only moderately less so today.

OK, I take that back it’s 76 degrees. It seems hot since I’m working hard on my day off putting junk at the curb for the bi-annual city cleanup.

The current temperature here is 78 F (26 C) and partly cloudy. That’s the high for today.

Apparently, we’re going to have a Tropical Storm this weekend.

I’m sorry to hear that, Adam. ☹️

I pray that all goes well for you, and that your area will be protected.

Just a side effect of not having to shovel snow several months of the year.
