St. Augustine of Hippo helped me in my search for my faith.

Apparently he is also the patron of theologians and brewers:thumbsup:

I’ve got a few: St. Francis de Sales, St. Augustine, and St. Dominic.

Can you tell I’m a convert? 😃

Indeed! Since I chose to be a Catholic, I am probably a lot more fervent (or fanatic or zealous, as my brother says!) than most.

My patron saint is also Saint Rita, whom I chose on my Confirmation. 😃
I knew about her since I was only little through my aunt, who is also an Augustinian nun.

I also like Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint Therese of Liseux 🙂

In my second year of Confirmation it was required for the students to write up a paper about our patron saint explaining why we chose them, and a bit of their life story etc. It took me forever because I wanted someone who would mean something special to me. The more I looked the harder it was for me find who I really wanted to choose. So I finally picked someone, wrote up my paper, and turned it in. Then on the day of Confirmation I found out we had to wear name tags with the name of the person we chose as our patron saint. I noticed mine wasn’t the person I had originally picked. But for the life of me I couldn’t remember who it was. :o Turned out the DRE had lost my paper, and only my paper. To fill in a name she wrote my patron saint’s name as Mary. There I decided the name ‘Mary’ would be of the Blessed Mother. My saint was partially chosen for me, but it all worked out in the end. 🙂 (For the record I honestly still can’t remember who was my original choice of patron saint… 😊 🤷)

I’ve always followed the teachings of St. Francis, but lately I’ve been studying and looking at St. Dominic very closely.

My confirmation saint back in year 6 was Daniel of Lion den fame. I certainly hope he still interceeds for me and doesnt feel abandoned:onpatrol:

Mine is St. Giana and she’s doing very well. I’ll tell her you asked. 😉 She’s busy praying for all the mothers and babies in the world…it takes up a lot of her time.

I was named for St. Therese of Lisieux, and chose St. Giana for my confirmation last month. I love them both.

(I think the original thread title is cute. Hugs to the OP)

St. Raphael, divine healer, patron of young people (o how much longer can I claim this patronage!), marriage, oh, did I mention healings?, and I like to think he has a certain flair for exorcism too 😉

St. Therese de Lisieux, in gratitude for the society in her name that prays for the deceased. We received several of these patronages at my grandfather’s funeral.

I’m also appreciating St. Thomas Aquinas a little more each day.

The Penitent Thief, St. Dismas!

Thanks for this thread. It reminds me that I need to pray for his intercession more.

This thread made me giggle. The OP’s typo was too cute, and so were the comments everyone left. 🙂

I’d like to say, “Oh, mine is just fine!” but, I am not confirmed yet. I actually haven’t even chosen a patron or patroness. I can’t decide!

I am not yet confirmed, but my confirmation saint will be St. Monica (I’ve only recently embraced the Catholic faith and have been married to a non-Catholic for 3 years so she is a perfect confirmation saint for me).

I’m also finding a kinship with St. Jerome lately (I have a very short temper, and he’s the patron saint against anger).
