I think the kings era ended with the OT kings whom where acknowledged by GOD Himself, and nowadays earthy kings & queens we have in some countries are nothing but a human made hypocrisy for social class discrimination.

When I see all of that hypocrisy on TVs for those kings & queens, I always remember JESUS quotes in Matthew 23:2-33.

Thoughts?
 
Well Christ is a King and we can see throughout history that the Church has created rites for and has anointed and crowned various monarchs from the 1st King of France to the Holy Roman Emperor. Indeed the Pope himself has always been seen a monarch as head of the hirarchical system of the Church. The institution of monarchical rule is as you mentiond ordained by God, I would go so far to say it has never been revoked and is still the preferable method of rule.

Apart from some African tribal groups and some Middle-East countries, where monarchies are alive and pass legislation and hold political powers, European monarchies are figure heads only but may privide diplomatic and cultural services but do not have real political power.

Today, the best example of an active monarchy is the Catholic Church and functions in the same manner it did centuries ago. There is no democratic processes and no do followersw have (name removed by moderator)ut into thinking, canon law… It is a top-down form of leadership and rule.

In scripture, you are right that our leader should be God. The Bible does not advocate one political system over another but only advocates following Christ.

Well maybe England has crown lands & tourists excuses (which I do not agree with anyways), but not all countries do that, come and see the corruption in our Islamic royal countries.

It is a fact, HRM Queen Elizabeth holds a great number of titles and she operate sunder diffrent titles/roles depending on what she is doing. When she visits Canada or does something relating to that Country she does so under her title of “Queen of Canada”

Her official title (in the UK at least) is “Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.” Thus she is also Queen of Canada. (Her title in Canada is Her Majesty Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith)

Of course Islamic Monarchs are not the same as those of Europe as they are not part of the same model wherin they are responsible to God. IMO sultans are not true monarchs.

Whether or not all Canadians agree with that is irrelevant. She is:

That she is Queen of Canada is fact and not subject to Canadians’ opinions outside of Parliament and changes to the Constitution.

Dieu protege la reine. God save the Queen.
 
The Church opposes the idea that certain forms of government are better than others.
 
They are just people doing a kind of ambassadorial type of job.
I like the organic food/architecture teaching role of one of them!

We are not to judge others.

Monarchy is closer in resemblance to the Kingdom of God than democracies, republics and other forms of governments.

The Kingdom of God is NOT a democracy or a republic.
