Continuing the discussion from 1Co 14:5 Tongues and Prophesy:
We read in Act 2:4 “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” It is Holy Scripture that plainly says the Apostle’s SPOKE in “other tongues” It would then be hard to justify the assertion that they did not speak in other tongues, but were only heard in other tongues. The second location is outside the Upper Room where there were devout Jews from every nation. When the Apostles , now brave, spoke to the crowd of the mighty works of God, they did not speak in a variety of languages at the same time. Instead, it is the variety of listeners who heard the words in their own languages.
