My husband and I just welcomed our first child into the world. My husband has been trying to secure employment that will allow me to stay home with the baby instead of having to go back to work in a few short weeks.

He works full time but does not make enough for ends to meet if I don’t work. He has been trying for months to find something better. He recently found out that he will probably be promoted soon, but it would still not be enough.

My employer is very unhappy with my request to come back part time. They agreed to let me work slightly fewer hours (5 1/2 instead of 8 1/2) for the first month, and only the possibility of a 6 1/2 hour shift after that. I thought this would be ok, but I just got off of the phone with my supervisor to confirm this, and I started bawling (and my postpartum blues ended over a week ago, so it isn’t that!).

Please, please pray for our family. Pray that something works out quickly. A good job for my husband, a job where I can take baby with me, etc. My husband’s name is Tim, for those who like to pray for someone by name.

Thank you all so very much. I hope this wasn’t too long; I’ve never posted in this forum before.

Congratulations on your new baby!!:bounce: :bounce: :harp: :harp:

Lord Father, God Almighty in Who all things are possible, hear the prayers of this family, by the merits of Saint Rita of Cascia. Amen

Congratulations on your little one! 🙂

I know your pain, as my DH is trying to find work (he’s unemployed) and I’m longing to be home with our DD and our little one on the way. Praying that your family and mine will be able to find jobs that allow us mommies to be with our kids. :crossrc:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are Thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen!

To all that you are praying for, I say “amen”, that all will go well for you and Tim and your little family.
All God’s good and loving blessings to your family! Trishie

I understand your situation. I had to go right back to work after each of mine were born.

I’m praying for you and your family.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

I fully understand your problems as I am in somewhat the same situation, I will pray for you and your family.

Praying for your intentions…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! My husband just accepted a job for which he applied in January. I am working part-time at a local pro-life activism office, where I can bring the baby. It all worked out just in time… now I just need to call my previous employer and let them know I won’t be back, and appease my mom who was looking forward to full-time babysitting.

DEO GRATIAS! :signofcross:

Praise God! Thank you, Mother Mary! I am so happy for you both. Oh, and congratulations on your little one!
