Everyday I have thoughts about going to die soon
I also get thought about vow that I don’t even know is valid or not…
I don’t know how to fight it…
Everyday I feel bad because of it…
Can someone help me…

You will not die soon. How old are you? People tend to have anxious thoughts, but they will pass. Accept that you have a problem, and then distract yourself. I don’t know, watch TV, play video games or whatever. In time, this thought of your will pass. Consider it reasonably, and you’ll see how silly it is. Now, it’s a big problem. I view problems as a room fool of balloons constantly growing. When you pop out one big balloon, other will grow. To you, this problem is now the biggest balloon you have, but in reality it’s not a big deal. It will pass. It’s silly. Calm down.

Also, pray the rosary, helped me in many ways. 🙂 God bless!

It’s normal four your age. 🙂 I have this crisis now, and I’m 25. To me it’s a different question. You’re going through a faze. People in their 20s tend to experience these sorts of things.

If you have huge anxiety and possible OCD then you will benefit from some counseling. A good Catholic counselor can help you. Mental patterns are habits. You may have developed some bad mental habits. These can be overcome but you may need some help in doing that. Are you in a position where you can get counseling?

I don’t think so…
I once talked to my priest and he didn’t give a definitive answer…

A priest may not have specific skills in dealing with anxiety and OCD. Those who are well trained in scrupulousity may. There are some good resources available for free you can find on the internet for dealing with anxiety, but it would be helpful if you could somehow find a way to get counseling.

I’ll say this anxiety is worry and it is focusing on the past or future. It can be helped by learning to be present in the moment. A simple thing that can help is to learn to pay attention to what is actually going on at the moment. In other words take your mental focus and apply it to what is actually going on here and now.

At age 20, you will soon have much more valid reasons for anxiety as you confront life’s realities more and more. And, at least as far as I know, it never gets better, particularly, only the reasons for it change. My anxieties as of age 20 are long forgotten. I just have new reasons now.

Now, I should also say that if your anxiety prevents you from functioning, you do have a problem and need counseling by a qualified psychologist and possibly also a psychiatrist.

Look, you are released from that vow.

I can’t promise that you’ll live much longer, though if you’re just 20 it’s likely you will. Just go with Christ, be at peace.

I believe I recall it. I perhaps should have said, “It was likely the vow wasn’t valid in the first place” perhaps. Unless my memory fails me.

Might have mixed up with someone else but still the same answer essentially.
