Human Gestation in Wisdom?

Wisdom 7:2 reads:

In the time of ten months I was compacted in blood, of the seed of man, and the pleasure of sleep concurring.

Now…we know that the normal human gestation period is 9 months, not 10. Why does “Solomon” imply here he was in the womb for an extra month?

Just a cultural thing, methinks. I mean, here in Japan human gestation is traditionally considered to last for ten months.also (I think the lunar calendar has something to do with this.)

Yup, it is lunar (28 days) versus calendar months - plus 2 to 3 each month adding up to another 21 days or so.

Well…whichever calendar doesn’t matter…because of having 4 weeks in a month. So with that said…40 weeks is 10 months! Women start their gestation period from the time of the start of their last menstrual cycle…that is why women go by how many weeks pregnant they are.
