Ever notice how God comes in 3’s?

Think about this-then think about conception.

It doesn’t matter. Since there is no clear-cut way of objectively determining when a human body has been ensouled and since the value of a human life is absolute, our thoughts in these matters ought to err on the side of life, always.

Maybe I’m missing something in the question, but isn’t the answer at the moment of conception?

From Jer 1:5 - “Before I formed thee in the bowels of thy mother, I knew thee: and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, and made thee a prophet unto the nations.”

This verb “to know” in the original language denotes an intense, intimate relationship and not to simply be aware of (I do not know the original Greek or Hebrew, I say this based on information from Catholic scripture scholars who do know them both). If God knew us before we were even created in His image, it would seem to make sense that we are given a soul at the exact moment that our bodies become capable of housing one. There is no way to state this objectively other than to say that God attaches souls to our bodies the moment they begin to exist at conception.

Again, straighten me out if I’m misinterpreting the question.

At conception would be what I say, mpernot, just like you. After all, it is alive, fully human, with its own DNA. My post about the 3’s was to make one think about it…1 egg, 1 sperm, 1 soul.

God Bless.
God Bless America.

Someone says that abortion is always murder but if the Catholic church teaches that they have no proof as to when the human soul is infused into the body, then isn’t it reasonable to assume that there is no Human life until the soul is united with the body? Please elucidate me on this matter. Thank you.

Read you bible…It is very clear that Jesus’s human life began at conception not at his birth.

It is always infused at exactly 4:37 PM, the eighth day after conception.
