Human Soul and Cloning

Hi All,

I hope this is the right forum for this. I just saw an article where it states we are closer to human cloning. I just wondered if anyone is ever cloned would that person have a soul?

All humans have a soul.
 
Yes, they will have a soul. Without the soul a person is just an empty lifeless body. The soul animates the body.

Why do you say “if”…???

Human Cloning…

That’s a nightmere. I hate to say this but… You can pass all the laws in the world against it and and have all the moral indignation you can muster against it, but the fact is…nothing can stop it from happening and you can be absolutely sure of that. Athiestic social engineers value science over faith and to them that is an absolute. THEY WILL DO IT, IF THEY HAVEN’T ALREADY.

Consider this… if they can clone a sheep… a horse, a cat and a cow, anything mammal… than guess what… they can clone a “one of us” too. And… if they can… they will.

You know how…??? They will do it clandestinely … under cover.

Think about that. Who’s to say that they haven’t done so already…??? Hummm…??? Comment. anybody…?

I am for real here… don’t laugh this off…

Can you suggest to me anything in scripture that might suggest that the “Anti-Crist” could be a clone…?

Can you say “sign of the times”…???

Imagine if some socialist anthrpoplogist finds a way to dig up a sample of King Nebuchadnezzar’s DNA and they clone up a new copy of him…???

It sounds like science fiction… but you know what…??? it makes my skin crawl.

Why would a socialist want to clone an absolute monarch?

If a scientist cloned a human being, that would make them a person of supreme historical significance, and an instant world-wide celebrity (with book deals and the talk show circuit and all the money that goes along with it). I don’t think they’d keep it a secret.

One “scientist” would… and another one woundn’t.

What it is that I am saying is… ( get this, please…)

It is a forgone conclusion that a human being will be cloned if it hasen’t been done already.

…and then I offer the speculation that a cloned being possibly could be the anti-christ, for what that’s worth.

( I like to think outside the box sometimes, is that okay…? )

You can think as far outside of the box as you like. 😉

I was simply pointing out that, it seems reasonable that if someone had already successfully succeeded in cloning a human being, they would be clamoring for the international spotlight. They wouldn’t keep it secret.

I don’t doubt that some are already working towards cloning people, but I think that, as soon as they have any degree of success, we’ll hear all about it.
 
I think it always bears repeating on threads like this:

If you have ever met a set of identical twins, then you have met a clone. One twin is a clone of the other twin.
 
Well, at least most of us our Exo-transhumanists here,
meaning we don’t adapt ourselves.
We do what we’ve always been doing,
adapting the enviroment around us like pyramids;)

I agree with you that anyone who is successful will be hungry for credit, but I’m not sure that they will be all that famous.

I just did a quick web search, and I couldn’t find the name of either the baby, or the doctor, in the first case of human artificial insemination.

I know that the woman, who was a man, who was a mother, received a lot of coverage, but who will remember them in 10 years?

It probably will be a big news splash for about a year, but once there are a couple of dozen clones running around no one is going to care anymore. Especially since it will take around 7 or 8 years for this kid to learn how to read and write, let alone get a book deal.

FWIW: I always thought Robin Gibb was a bit more soulful than Maurice.

Edit: I’m trying to think of how you can tell which woman is the evil twin. Shorter hair? Darker hair? Red hair? Crooked teeth? Warts?

No they would not have a soul. But not to fret, neither does anyone else.

If Jeanie and Samantha Stevens were any indication, a blond’s evil twin is a brazen, husky-voiced brunette with a beauty mark.
