I appreciate your graciousness and that of others like MarieVeronica who have been too generous in their responses. We are a family - we help each other. It’s what we are commanded to do.

All of us share in this great promise: “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” 🙂

Together…we are able to change the world! :hug3:
You all have my hugs, too!🙂
today I am going to try to request use of published material in “Violent at Work”, by Joseph A. Kinney, published in 1995 by Prentice Hall. I need to get their address and figure out how to word my request. The book seems like a very thorough and convincing source for the subject.
Make a difference, one pint at a time; donate to the American Red Cross:thumbsup:
Praying for all here and there:thumbsup:

Hello all!

I was at the shrine this past Sunday - it was amazing!

I felt a very strong presence of the Blessed Virgin there! As soon as I passed the archway that lead to the visitor’s center, I was so overcome by a presence which I can’t begin to describe that I started breaking down and crying. I had to retreat to the parking lot three times (in order to gain my composure) before I could even enter the visitor’s center and start walking the trail!

It is a very special place. Our Lady has a strong presence there, and oh, what a special presence it is!

I prayed for you all and presented the requests you submitted. I’m so glad I made the trip!

Thank you very much, and I’m so glad you had a meaningful experience.

Hi WXBoss 👋 – It sure sounds like you had a very blessed trip. Thanks so much for carrying our prayers for all of us. It was so great of you. I’m sure you will be blessed by Jesus and Our Lady for years to come.

Hello Friends,

I truly hope that you will experience (if you haven’t already) the great blessings of Our Lord and Our Lady that I have recently experienced! One of the beautiful blessings of Our Lord is that he doesn’t discriminate. We are all partakers and recipients of His infinite kindness and generosity!

Tomorrow, I hope to be at the EWTN studio for a live taping of Threshold of Hope. In the past two weeks, I have traveled over 2200 miles due in part to being laid off from a 15+ year old job and not being able to afford to live where I used to any longer. During that time with the remaining money I had, I left FL to visit family in OH, then went to the shrine in WI, then briefly went back home to OH only to go on to visit more family in VA, and now onto AL where I believe the Lord is currently leading me to EWTN. (Kind of strange for someone who is still ‘technically’ Baptist to be lead to all these Catholic places 🙂 ).

I say this only because I would appreciate your prayers for a safe journey (and that my car would hold up) as I follow what I believe to be the Lord’s leading.

I’m so glad that we were all able to benefit from this trip! And, yes, I believe that all of you were there with me. How could you not be when you shared with me those requests that mattered most to you!

God Bless,

Pete :heaven:

Hey Pete! Not all, my friend! God calls whom He will. :extrahappy: And He calls us ALL! 😉

Have you seen the EWTN program… “The Journey Home”? Marcus Grodi (host) has interviewed a lot of former Baptist brethren, now Catholic! They all have amazing and inspiring stories of how God called to them, personally… and led them to the Catholic Church. Awesome stuff!

God bless you in your travels. I’m inspired by your faith in Our Good Lord, during a time of uncertainty in your life (the job situation).

Keeping you in my prayers. God bless.
MV 🙂

Welcome home!👍
It is so heartwarming to hear such miraculous good in your life and testimony!!! We’ll all pray for your needs to be richly supplied, don’t be the stereotypical person who doesn’t admit to needing people… Our pastor recently quoted Barbra Streisand and her song in which she sings, “people who need people are the luckiest people in the world.” On the TV it’s the guy who won’t ask directions when lost that brings home the essence of rugged individualism gone to excess. “I once was lost but now am found…” Welcome home, welcome home!!!

I thank everyone for their kind words!

Colmcille, the words of yours that I highlighted really hit home. The one thing that I struggled with a lot (especially during my Protestant years) was the feeling of isolation as I really never felt part of a family. Probably due to the fragmentation of Protestants in general.

However, since I started embracing the Catholic faith, that feeling has begun to slowly erode as I can plainly see the great community of believers and their close affiliation with each other which can’t be paralleled in Protestant circles. God is slowly chipping away my desire for isolation, and I owe a lot of that also to those like yourself who have posted in this thread and have shown me how much I am missing by trying to disallow friendships for the sake of my selfish and ignorant beliefs which were based on another faith that revels in it’s individuality.
