I have learned over time that humility is perspective. The more one truly comprehends the universe, God’s creation, the beauty of creation, one gains an appreciation of his place within the greater creation and becomes humble.
But at the same time, humility allows one to accept an awesome gift, a gift that one did not expect or earn. One of the humblest things you can do is truly and graciously accept an incredible, undeserved gift that lifts you up to the highest place and then relish and savor that gift as the giver wants you to.
Humility is doing both of these at the same time.
