Please pray for all of us here in Florida as we brace for Fay…:gopray2:

We got our first day of school in today - but it’s touch and go for the rest of the week…
 
I’m in Florida too…hopefully, it’ll be a short and uneventful storm!

Prayers for all there. The last storm actually affected one of our cities in the mountains here in NM!

We cut our vacation short to leave before Fay hits, but looks like it might not be so bad, at least in Orlando.
So sad to leave Florida, even in August!
 
Kids’ schools are closed tomorrow…they ain’t complainin’. lol

I’m surprised though, because we are not near water…about 15 miles inland from the bay. But, maybe just to be safe…

Praying that everyone’s lives and homes are safe and sound through this storm!!!

Could be because your schools are used for Hurricane shelters and they are keeping that option open :confused:.

Not only that but 15 miles inland is nothing for a hurricane - remember I said the last big storm affect a city in New Mexico? That is definitely more than 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico!

That’s what happened my freshman year in high school. We had to deal with Tropical Storm Josephine, but mostly the schools were closed to be opened for shelters, not due to any damage.
 
Things escalating this morning in Brevard County. Heavy winds/rain…
 
That could be Brenda…if you all wouldn’t mind saying a little prayer for my sister…she lives in Jupiter, and there are flood waters there, and lots of rain and wind. She now lives alone, she is divorced, and she has to do a road trip for work tomorrow.😦

Nothing major happening here in Tampa Bay…looking out the window now over the bay…just a lot of wind!
 
A lot of wind is the precursor to the hurricane!

Thanks Brenda…you know, I had considered naming our dd Brenda…I have always liked that name so much.
