Hi, Trishie. No, I’m not the same person 😀

Thank you and all others here who have taken time to pray for my husband. You are very right: the long work hours do exacerbate an already stressful situation. I work full time, too, so finding peace hasn’t been easy.

I feel terrible for him. He works so hard and always has — at this and every job he’s had. He has excellent skills. He’s respectful. As his problems only started within the last 6-9 months (after he got a new supervisor), I feel this is far more a personality, rather than a performance, issue.

He’s a good, faithful man. It’s so painful seeing him get treated like an incompetent loser. It’s worse, though, when the person with that opinion holds the keys to his (our) livelihood.

Thank you again for the prayers and kindness. Your own intentions are in my prayers as well.

Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Asking our Lord to bless DH. Through the intercession of the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, may his job be protected or may he be successful in finding a less toxic workplace. Bless those who are persecuting him and threatening his career; may their hearts be softened. In Jesus’ Name, I pray.

Prayer to St. Anthony for Employment

Blessed St. Anthony, who in life was ever mindful
of the needs of the afflicted, consuming yourself in
the service of God and for the good of souls, who
was the enemy of idleness and a tireless worker
in the vineyard of the Lord, beseech God to grant
Sunflower98’s husband a suitable job or change
the heart of the woman who is bent on destroying
his career. Dear Lord, show that your power of love
can overwhelm the cruelty of office bullies. St. Anthony,
intercede for Sunflower98’s husband so that he is
able to triumph from this awful situation, through Christ
our Lord, Amen. ✝️
