Husband with advanced cancer

Please pray for my husband, Rodney, who has advanced cancer and will be undergoing treatment. Please pray that God will cure Rodney in body, mind and spirit. Please pray that God will not make me a widow. This is so hard for me because my mom died when I was 7 and I remember praying to God not to take her but He did.

Please say a prayer for me, too, because I feel I could not go on living if something were to happen to my husband. He provides for me and takes care of me and does all our shopping because I have an anxiety disorder. I also haven’t worked in over 10 years and I don’t know how I would support myself. I’d rather be poor than to lose my husband.

Please pray for us! Thank you!

Be assured of my prayers and the prayers of all the saints in Heaven. You and your husband will get through this. God’s plan is perfect and His Will will be done. May St. Raphael strengthen you two and if it be in God’s Will, heal you husband. Have faith, have hope and God’s love will fill the both of you. There is a reason for everything, take advantage of this time but remember that time never stops. Our souls are eternal and people can be much more useful in Heaven then here for in Heaven they are more alive then on earth. Grace and peace be with you.

Therese, this could be the Good Friday your husband (and you?) need to get into heaven. I will pray for y’all, that God’s will be done. There isn’t anything better than that! 🙂

I’ve never been married and therefore have never had to consider the loss of a spouse.
I can’t really walk in your shoes, but I can and will pray for both of you.

Will be praying hard for God to give both your husband and you His strength to get through this difficult time. We will all pray that God does what is best for you both. I wish for God to take your fear and replace it with trust in Him, that He will do what is best for your beloved husband.
I hope you can find some peace in knowing how much you are loved.

Dear Therese,

I want you to lay hands on your husband Rodney and pray the following prayer for him:-

Loving Father, I come before You trusting in Your goodness, kindness, and the power of Your healing love.
As I lift up before You, Rodney, heal him Lord of his cancer of (specify sickness).
Lord, You know all things, You can do all things, and I know you love him very much.
Only You know what is best for him and what he needs in terms of healing.
As I lay my hands on him, let it be Your hands touching him, healing him, and bringing him wholeness of body, mind, emotions, and spirit.
Let the grace of Your divine love and power flow to him right now to reach the inner recesses of his being and spread to the different parts of his body.
Take away any pain or feeling of discomfort, correct any malfunctioning of his bodily organs and tissues.
Melt with the heat of Your healing love all abnormal and cancerous growths, arrest the further spreading of those sick cells and create in him new and healthy cells.
Root out all the hurts embedded in his subconscious through the years.
Heal all feelings of rejection, anger, frustration, aggravation, all painful memories of the past and repercussions of traumatic experiences.
As You root out all these hurts, fill that void with Your spirit of love, peace and understanding, acceptance, meekness and tenderness, kindness, concern and generosity.
Help him to completely surrender to You his cancer sickness.
Deliver him from dwelling on self-pity, fears, anxieties, hopelessness, and all negative thoughts.
Give him the grace to offer all his pains and difficulties for other suffering people, especially those sick with cancer who have no one to support them and pray for them.
Help him to see the blessing in each trial, to realise each victory from every tear, to see Your guiding hand and feel Your loving presence in everything that is happening to him, confident that You are totally in control.
Help him to learn lessons from mistakes of the past and work on changes in his life and his way of living.
And then, dear Lord, after he has been healed, may his life be a witness to Your love, peace, and healing power for others and bring glory, honour, and praise to You.
All this I pray in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and through the intercession of Mary and all the angels and saints. Amen.
