Which hymn would be better to use as the Recessional for the Masses for Christmas?

“Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” OR “Joy to the World?”

I like “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” for the Entrance/Processional, “Angels We Have Heard on High,” for the Offertory, and “Silent Night,” for Communion (if using a Hymn, but otherwise, use the Communion Antiphon from the propers).

As far as the Recessional goes, what do you guys think? Personally, “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” is more appropriate to use, if it’s anything from the Christmas Vigil Mass up to (and including) the Midnight Mass, and then “Joy to the World,” for the Masses on Christmas Day (after the Midnight Mass).

I love both hymns, but I think Joy to the World is more common around here. It’s particularly moving if you have a large choir.
