Here it is .One of my favourites is “Hail Queen of Heaven, the Ocean Star.”
A beautiful Hymn. About 20 years ago, one of our own from our parish, decided in his late 20s to leave his degree in Accounting and become a priest. At the time of his ordination, he decided he wanted to be ordained in his home parish and not the Cathedral, including his first Mass. The Bishop agreed and I met with him many times choosing music. My music ministry was honored and delighted to be part of this and I was one busy guy back then! He, a 100% Irish boy, wanted us to learn “Lady of Knock” for the Hymn to Mary during the ordination. We loved it! He is now the Bishop’s Episcopal Secretary, lives at the Cathedral, and MC at all diocesan Confirmations and events that the bishop is present at.Here’s another that we sing in May. It fills one with national pride.
Understandably so!It always brings tears to my eyes.
I hope that you do, so blessings on your possible ordination. That is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. When and if I am ordained, I certainly want this hymn. It’s beautiful with choir and organ…breathtaking.
