This is all hypothetical…

All of a sudden, Catholicism is banned by the government in your country.

They bring you in front of a judge and are.given two options;

1- renounce catholicism (including the Pope,.Saints, etc) … or

2 - Lifetime in prison with no possibility of parole ever.

Since the state doesn’t think the death penalty is warrented for this, as they simply want to prevent you from slreading your faith, you won’t be mistreated in prison. They will even allow you to take a.chaplet/rosary with you and a Bible. But you will live.isolated.

if you pick option 2; which type of chaplet/rosary will you take, and which Bible.version will you also bring along. (no study notes in the Bible, simply the text).

?

This is all hypothetical and for fun.
I’m sorry, but this topic reminds me of horrible historic events where the Church and the One True Faith were attacked, supressed and banned by the enemies of Christ.
No fun at all.

ok, I agree, remove “and for fun”. poor choice of words on my part…

They’ll have to build many more prisons to hold us all. I would bring my big heavy family Bible, which could double as a weapon in case of prison riots.

I highly doubt that a society that is so anti Jesus/Catholic Church to the point of incarceration will allow the Faith to be openly practiced in prison.

But I don’t think this scenario is so far out in left field anymore. Of course real persecution is happening in Africa and the Middle East but if we allow the liberals to take over then we won’t be so far away from having to make these kind of choices. As evidence…laws being made to suppress the Sacraments, anti Catholic Supreme Court nomination hearings, Catholic adoption and foster care organizations being shut down, the teachings of Jesus being accused as hate speech…

Indeed, the prison may be more like a re-education camp.
