A plane goes down in the Antarctica.
You and 10 others (2 of them are your children) are the only survivors out of 40.
The dead are littered all other the crash site.
There is no food.
There is no local help.
There is no plausible possibility of rescue, because nobody knows that your plane exists, or that it has crashed.
The nearest resource centre is close enough to walk, but it is too far away to get there without food. Without food, you will all die before reaching safety.
A member of your group suggests that we can survive the journey if we eat the dead, and carry portions of their body as food stock for the journey. Some members disagree for religious and philosophical reasons.
What will you choose and why do you consider it to be the moral/rational choice?
