I just got back home from confession and as soon as I stepped into my room I realized that, although I confessed to eating meat last Friday, I didn’t do it.
Full context: Last week was really stressful (uni exams week) so I decided to eat meat as compensation for surviving the week (and because I didn’t want to go buy fish). HOWEVER, when I got back home Thursday night I decided to not eat meat and just offer that craving up for my tests, so I went to the grocery store and bought fish. On Friday, I didn’t eat meat.
One week later, aka today, I went to confession for other sins, but then I remembered that I had decided to eat meat on Friday, only I didn’t remember I had later decided to NOT DO IT, so I mistakenly confessed to eating meat.
Should I bring this up the next time I go to confession or am I just being scrupulous?

You’re being scrupulous. You spoke mistakenly. Don’t worry about it.

No the important thing is you sincerely confessed to all sins you were aware of at the time and were repentant.

Don’t sweat it. You’re not called to make an accurate and precise account of your sins. A forgotten sin is still forgiven even if you remember it at the moment before the priest gives you absolution. A sin confessed by accident, is not a sin at all and no sin is committed in being mistaken.

Just confess to the best of your ability, specifying the type sin, the number of times and if there’s something especially bad about it. And that’s it.

Just tell Jesus you made a mistake in Confession. He’s forgiving.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to confess it during Confession, but just tell Jesus outside of Confession that s/he made a mistake.
