I am 39 and was just baptised 2 years ago. I am married to a catholic however we were married in the civil court. We have 2 daughters that have been baptised, done their communion and confirmation. They done all of this in Mexico as my husband is Mexican.
My questions is that I want to also do my communion and confirmation but am running into trouble. I seem to get a different answer of comment wherever I go. In Mexico the Father told me that I would have to study and take all of the exams for cathecism and would need to be married before the church. HOwever because of my age it would be difficult.
I know it may seem strange that I was never baptised but my parents just never done it. I guess you could say they were belivers but did not necessarily belong to a church. HOwever when I met my husband and him being Mexican it was so that our children be brought up catholic. We have been togher for 18 years. And like I say I was only baptised 2 years ago.
Just wanting some information as to what my next step is to do to be able to do communion and confirmation.
