Again, thank you, thank you, thank you, for all your continued prayers. I have one more “essay” to write (one to three pages, double spaced, entirely about me, so I don’t really consider it an “essay”) and one or two more blanks to fill out on my main form. (I am going to speak with my spiritual director about the specifics of them.) After that, I will put my “John Hancock” on the last page and mail off my application! It’s been a long time coming—even longer than this post has been around—but it’s finally here! Of course, it will take a while—perhaps even months—for me to hear back from the Diocese, but nobody that I have met with has told me about any red flags they noticed, and the Bishop himself has known that I have been discerning for years, so I don’t expect to be rejected.

Thank you again for your continued prayers. I just got a call from the Vocations Director of the diocese, and he said that all the priests on the Vocations Board spoke well of me. He said that he needs to meet with the bishop (of course), and that I (ideally) will hear from him by the end of the month—much earlier than I expected! Deo gratias!
