HR, give it a rest.
I think that priest should be allowed to be married. And I believe that women should allow to be priests.
That is what I think.
You think what you want.

If you don’t want to discuss it, don’t post about it.

Coaches don’t play sports professionally either. This argument is pretty weak- one could say that if Priests had wives they would be biased towards some viewpoint and so on. Priests can get married in Catholic Church, just not in Latin Church. This is based on whole different level of tradition and reason throughout history. I myself wouldn’t mind married Priests but we Catholics also value obedience- obedience to God, obedience to Church. If we think we know better than everyone else, we are filled with pride. Humility is the key and hence we obey authority above us. I wouldn’t mind married Priests as I said, but I am not the Pope hence I follow Papal teachings. Basically speaking those people know what they are doing, let them… we do have married deacons as possibility anyway and they are not flourishing as one would expect them to.

Church has no ability nor authority to ordain women as Priests. It’s just that. Even if Pope wanted to, all Cardinals wanted to, all Bishops wanted to, entire human population wanted to, it’s just not possible. It’s like saying “I want Pope to define that grass is blue” and thinking about how that would change the grass. It’s just that there’s no power to ordain women at all. If you believe women should be allowed to be Priests you believe God made a mistake by not allowing it, let that sink in.

Now yes, I agree women could theoretically get more authority in the Church without ordaining them, but that is whole different case and matter of practice and discipline, not one of dogma.

There is greater understanding when we experience the same things in life.

We all are stewards of God’s church on Earth.
God gave us a mind and a free will to choose the path we will follow.
God made man and God made woman. They are equal in his eyes.

So did he give to Satan, let’s not let pride overcome our mission. Obedience is very important as Lord has shown us that obedience unto death is a good thing.
They are equal in his eyes.
Depends on definition of equal. Some are called to higher missions some to lower- some were Prophets, some were just men, some were just women who followed the Lord. They did His will, but they were not called to same mission. Same thing with genders.

Historically speaking, the same sort of explanation was given by those who thought black slavery was a good thing.

Equality is about every person having an equal chance, not about everyone having an identical chance.
All people are different. Different color hair, different color eyes, different color skin, some tall and some short. But they are all human beings and they all deserve an equal opportunity.
We are created equal by our maker.
It is mankind who has decided that some people are not equal.

Heavy on platitudes, light on arguments. What exactly makes you think that the Catholic Church is wrong to not allow female priests? A platitude like “we are created equal by our maker” is a platitude, not an argument. Nobody is arguing that men and women are unequal.

"We are created equal by our maker.
It is mankind who has decided that some people are not equal. "
That’s right…It was mankind who decided in the end that men are the only ones called to the ministerial priesthood. And that “mankind” was fully human and fully divine…Yep, Jesus.

To the OP:

In the Latin Church of the Catholic Church, a married man may become a permanent deacon (after marriage). You may be interested in the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, a quasi-diocese which was established in 2012 by the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and whose first ordinary was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI precisely to retain the very, very rich Anglican patrimony in the Catholic Church and to received persons coming in from Anglicanism. Our first bishop, the Most Rev. Steven J. Lopes, was consecrated as bishop in February 2016.
