He would like to know if any of you know any good book(s) besides The Bible,:o of course on, Jesus’ life or his teachings? Not that we havent made him the focus. We both have been studying catholic apologetics for some time now but he wants to focus more on Jesus . I have looked but I guess not good enough I usually find prayer books or apologetic type books or books about saints. I dont have time to do a full on search. He likes to read but he loves books on cd. Any help would be helpful.😛

I love when people ask this question because it gives me the opportunity to recommend two of my absolutely favorite books **period **of all time, let alone about Our Lord:

To Know Christ Jesus, by Frank Sheed
ignatius.com/ViewProduct.aspx?SID=1&Product_ID=651&AFID=12&
Product Description
This modern spiritual classic by Frank Sheed, the renowned author, publisher and lecturer, is brought back into print for the benefit of new generations of readers to develop a deeper, more profound knowledge of Jesus Christ. Sheed’s concern with the Gospels is to come to know Christ as he actually lived among us, interacted with all the various people he encountered from his infancy to his passion and death–the God-man who was like us in all things except sin.
Sheed has tried especially to see Our Lord in his effect upon others–seeing how they saw him, trying to see why they saw him so. There is much about Mary and Joseph in their task of bringing up a baby who was literally adorable; about John the Baptist; about Mary of Bethany and Mary Magdalen; about Nicodemus; about people we meet only for a moment, like the man born blind and the owners of the drowned swine; and why the Pharisees, not only the worst of them but some of the best, would not accept Christ.
Faith, doctrine, prayer, worship–all the content and consequences of Christian belief–rest on the person of Christ Jesus as recorded in the Gospels. In this classic study, Frank J. Sheed employs wide learning, theological sophistication, spiritual insight, and a lucid style to bring the reader to a personal encounter with the living Lord. To Know Christ Jesus has been justly called “one of the most satisfying studies of the Gospel ever made.”
Life of Christ, by Fulton J. Sheen
aquinasandmore.com/index.cfm/FuseAction/store.ItemDetails/SKU/2543
General Description:
Life Of Christ has been hailed as the most eloquent of Fulton Sheen’s writings, the fruit of many years of dedication and research. Filled with compassion and brilliant scholarship, his recounting of the birth, life, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Christ is as dramatic and moving as the subject Himself. Here is a passionate portrait of the God-Man, the teacher, the healer, and most of all the Savior whose promise has sustained humanity for two millennia.
“It was not so much that His birth cast a shadow on His life, and led to His death,” writes Sheen. “It was rather that the Cross was there from the beginning, and it cast its shadow backward to his birth.” With his customary insight and reverence, the author interprets the scripture and describes Christ not only in historical perspective but in exciting and contemporary terms; he sees in Christ’s life modern parallels and timeless lessons. Sheen probes the hearts of many prominent New Testament figures - Joseph and Mary, Peter and the disciples, Herod, Pilate, et al. - shedding new light on age-old events. The whole adds up to a masterful study: a faithful blending of philosophy, history, and biblical exegesis.
This book has been a revelation to countless readers, as well as a source of inspiration and guidance. Every Christian should read and own this vivid retelling of the greatest life ever lived.
For both devotional and Bible study, I have read these books over and over and over again, my copies now being threadbare with use. Highly recommended! 👍 👍

There’s also, The Everlasting Man by G. K. Chesterton, although it’s not so much a biography of Our Lord as defense of Jesus’ centrality to the history of man.

Transformation in Christ, by Dietrich von Hildebrand, Sofia Press

“My Imitation of Christ” by Thomas a Kempis is a classic devotional book. It only requires reading and mediating on one to three pages a day.

Thank you all for your replies we will definitely get some of the books suggested, we are both thankful . 😃
