HiThe Episcopalians are allowing this? Unbelievable. One cannot be Christain and Muslim. Episcopalians should raise a loud stink about her being allowed to continue as a Christiand priest while she is also a member of Islam… a religion that has vowed to destroy Christianity. I just dont’ get how ignorant of reality her superiors must be…![]()

You are in no sense a Christian, sorryHi
There is nothing to get upset there. I think I have written here that I am in a sense a true Christian- follower of Jesus Prophet but I accept Quran and Muhammad according to Jesus’ prophecies and hence I call myself Ahmadi- a peaceful faith in Islam.
Murtad, while I appreciate your zeal as a convert, Christianity is a faith, not a cultural imposition. The book of Revelation says that the glory of the nations will be brought into the city of God, and the name ‘Catholic’ means ‘all-embracing’. It is a universal faith, not a Eurocentric cultural imperialism. When I became Catholic, I completely abandoned Islam, which Saint John of Damascus called Islam a heresy. I also believe the only way to world peace is evangelism of Arabs and Muslims. Only when all Arabs have been de-Arabised, Arabic language will cease to be a spoken language and Islam will cease to exist.
Arab Christians should abandon Arabic in favour of Latin, French, Russian, Chinese, or a better language. We surely don’t want the language of the Quran to be spoken moreover as Arab Christians (and even Arab Muslims) are not really ethnically or racially Arab but Copts, Assyrians, Kurds and Berbers!
No it isn’t, unfortunatelyThe Episcopalians are allowing this? Unbelievable.
I think murtad means that if Muslims really worship God as they claim, then it would be as trinity, in other words, to be a real Muslim is to actually be a Christian.![]()

Back this up please. You have, gone into a theological realm that I see no basis for.
Can you elaborate on my bolded portions?
"any Christian who submits to the HOLY TRINTY is A muslim???
I humbly ask you to reconsider such a rash reamark.
Are you willing to tell the Jw’s this? The Mormons this?
And all the others who gleefully deny the Holy Trinity?
Back this up please, or be silent.![]()
I don’t think that the early divergent forms of Christianity had the mandate to destory Christianity. Islam does. Hence her actions are very different. It is certainly bizarre to our twentieth century view of Christianity. I just finished a book by Elaine Pagels, Beyond Belief, which documents the large degree of diversity in Christianity within the first few centuries after Christ’s death. She wouldn’t have been looked on as so odd say about eighteen hundred years ago, prior to the establishment of “orthodoxy”. Looks like she was born too late…
I basically agree with you on this…She’s at best a very confused Christian, not a Muslim.
True the word ‘Muslim’ *does *etymologically mean ‘one who submits to God’, but it’s meaning in Islam is submission on God’s terms, not on your own terms. As far as the teachings of Islam are concerned, you quite simply can not be a Muslim and believe that Jesus (as) is the Son of God or in any way divine.
Submission without freedom is evil. It’s nothing more than complete slavery of mind and body, and a denial of God’s gift of free will! She’s at best a very confused Christian, not a Muslim.

The bold is an oxymoron. You cannot call yourself a TRUE Christian but than deny in the same breath that Christ is TRULY God.Hi

Hi Vickie, I hope you’re well. Islam’s teachings on submitting to God really aren’t any different to that which you’ll find in the Bible. For instance Paul wrote in the Epistle to the Romans:Submission without freedom is evil. It’s nothing more than complete slavery of mind and body, and a denial of God’s gift of free will!

That is a malicious falsehood. There are two Episcopal churches in the country that do not use the Nicene Creed in their worship. This is indeed a problem, but it does not change the fact that as a national church (or a worldwide communion) we uncompromisingly adhere to the Nicene Creed and (with these two unfortunate exceptions) use it in worship every Sunday.Episcopal Church USA is hardly Christian, in fact not Christian. They are worse than schismatics (ie. our seperated brothers) and correctly called heretics (ie deviants) for they deny Trinitarian Creed (ie Nicene Creed) outright.
What is your take on this Episcopalian-Priestest/Muslim?That is a malicious falsehood. There are two Episcopal churches in the country that do not use the Nicene Creed in their worship. Yeah, and my favorite reading material is Christian pornography…:hypno:Shortly after noon on Fridays, the Rev. Ann Holmes Redding ties on a black headscarf, preparing to pray with her Muslim group on First Hill. On Sunday mornings, Redding puts on the white collar of an Episcopal priest. She does both, she says, because she’s Christian and Muslim. (Excerpt) Read more at seattletimes.nwsource.com …

Just trying to illustrate absurdity by being absurd.Christain pornography? What are you talking about?
Just trying to illustrate absurdity by being absurd.
A faithful Christian CANNOT be a faithful Muslim and vice-versa, just as there can never be any such thing as Christian pornography.
Sorry if I caught you off guard.
Peace,
