You conveniently left out what I was responding to when I said he is speaking blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
So did you, so here it is:
USCatholic:
[The CCC] is not the Word of God, it is a man-made text. Although it is inspired, it is not infallible, especially when it comes to teachings about other religions.
Nowhere does he even mention the Holy Spirit! I understand how you drew the conclusion that he was speaking against the Holy Spirit, but you are simply assuming way too much. Could it be that perhaps the two of you are using the term “inspired” in different ways?
Besides, nowhere does the Church teach that the CCC is an “inspired” (in the same sense as Sacred Scripture) or infallible document. The doctrines relating to faith and morals that are described in the CCC may be infallible without the document itself having the protection of infallibility.
Swiss Guard:
He said the Holy Spirit inspires the Catechism but is not infallible. He is saying the Holy Spirit can err, which is blasphemy.**
**He said no such thing. See the above quote. He
might actually believe that, but one could not draw that definitive conclusion based on what he has said here. It would be much better for you to ask him if he thinks the Holy Spirit can err than it is to put words in his mouth and then condemn him for those words.
Swiss Guard:
Is he guilty of blasphemy? Probably not, since it doesn’t seem he put any thought into his post. His hatred of Muslims got in the way of actually thinking about what he said.**
**Here you’re just assuming again that he has a vile hatred for Muslims, and then condemning him for what you assume to be true. Why don’t you address the real issue and questions instead? If you think there are ulterior motives at play, ask some straight questions to get at those instead of assuming the worst and personally attacking him for it.

I’ve noticed that those who hate Muslims are the ones making excuses for USCatholic’s attacks on the Church.

**Wow, I was actually being prophetic when I said earlier that I would probably be labelled a Muslim hater for what I said!
Don’t even try to tell anyone what
I think or feel about Muslims. How dare you. You know nothing about me, or what I think or believe.
Swiss Guard:
** It’s not charitable to attack USCatholic but it is charitable to attack the Church since we all know Muslims are evil and how dare the Church even suggest they also call themselves children of Abraham. The hatred and bigotry towards Muslim by those such as USCatholic, and anyone who defends him, is more uncharitable than any so-called attack on USCatholic.****
**Where do you get this stuff? Honestly, for you to get this out of what was posted here is pretty amazing, in my opinion. Again, you rather quickly and happily lump me in with your imaginary uncharitable bigots. That is, in my opinion, an exceedingly rude thing to do.
For the record, it is
never licit to personally attack someone on these forums because of beliefs they may hold. Rigorously and intellligently defend the Truth, but never by using personal attack, innuendo, or ridicule as your weapon. Remember that the ends DO NOT justify the means. Ever.
If a member goes over the lines, it is the moderators’ jobs to intervene, and that person may be suspended. It is not your job to push them away with written verbal attacks. Report their posts and go on to deal with others in love and charity.
Swiss Guard:
His comments are ignorant. Only someone with a vile hatred towards Muslims would not see them as ignorant.**
**Here you go again, trying to insinuate that I have a “vile hatred towards Muslims”. As I said before, how dare you?!?
