I am sorry, but your comparison is way off. Liturgical norms are not in the same category.
I am done here. Sorry for the confusion, and I will pray for charity on all sides, and well as good discernment, rather than judging.
Lux
ahhhh, the fight or flight syndromeā¦I have to run now (because you are all getting too close to the truth and that is making me uncomfortableā¦)
Weāll pray for you too.
You and your spiritual advisor are to accept the teachings with obedience and humility as Jesus taught.
In other words, submit your will and personal preferences to the teachings of the Church.
If we all just did what we thought was right instead of what indeed is taught as right, I
can see how we ended up with some parishes where so many are complaining that ānew ageā and other things are creeping in, or have been creeping in for so long in their parishes, like hand holding, and talking in Mass and clapping in Mass and all the other things that people on here complaining about. The fact that this blessing people while going to Holy Communion is even a topic on this thread shows how far off people are.
Then you have a good Priest, like Fr. David here, who shows you the reasons for the truth
and everything and you say that he is the one who is wrong.
Well gee, why donāt we all make up our own way, become Protestant and forget the whole thing

(sadly, some go that far) Anything but the Truth.
