What is it that you like the most about Romania/Romanians?Romanians are some of my favorite people…!
A short clip from an interview by Miceal Ledwith on a Romanian TV channel.Along with Italian, the Romanian language has its roots in Latin and should be easy to learn for Roman Catholics who speak or read Latin.
Because Romanian also has some slavic roots there are parts of this I just don’t get, but I am understanding that "France and Italy are preferred in Romania. There is a historic cultural legacy…with France that families copy from Paris that…educated in a good manner. These are ideal…French cultural modes.Dintre toate tarile, Franta si Italia par a fi preferate in Romania. Din punct de vedere istoric, romanii au avut legaturi culturale cu Franta findca in secolele trecute familiile bogate isi trimiteau copii la Paris ca sa-si faca educatia si bunele maniere. Cind se intorceau in tara, ei aduceau ideile, cultura si moda frantuzeasca.
C’est egalement agréable à vivre au Québec, où tout le monde parle français.
I liked the sound of the language…and the people I met who spoke it seemed very friendly. I also found that some of the Romanian immigrants where I was living were highly educated, but were living fairly humble lives due largely to bureaucratic reasons. For example one of them was a former aerospace engineer who was now consigned to packing groceries for a living. Another was a doctor who had to do manual labor. That they were dealing with these set-backs in a humble and non-complaining way was as inspiring as it was disheartening. They seemed to be very honest and hard-working people…I simply enjoyed being with them…they were very down-to-earth.What is it that you like the most about Romania/Romanians?
My translation: “You speak Romanian very well…felicitations…!”Vorbesti foarte bine romaneste. Felicitari!
I also never heard of Romania being hated. And we have a lot of immigrants! If you come to Denmark be prepared to face racism. If I were to give the name of the nazi country of the 21st century that would be Denmark. And it is not just me, or romanians, many foreigners say this. Ask different immigrants. In fact I had an american tell me online that it has heard that Denmark is a sick nazi country(his own words). They don’t like immigrants so much. The DanskeFolkParti has won the elections in June which is an extremist anti-immigrants party.
Well Europe in general is very nationalistic and racist. So expect another experience if you come here and are not from Europe.
