Hi folks,
I have to admit, I have fallen into the pit
of pornography again and my smoking is
out of control, please pray for me as I am
having difficulty keeping a prayer life.

Prayer To Confess Pornography Involvement

Dear Heavenly Father, You have told us in Your Word to put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts (Rom. 13:14). I acknowledge that I have given in to fleshly lusts, in the form of pornography that wages war against my soul (1 Pet. 2:11). I thank You that in Christ my sins are forgiven, but I have transgressed Your holy law and given the enemy an opportunity to wage war in my members (Eph. 4:27; Jas. 4:1; 1 Pet. 5:8). I come before Your presence to acknowledge these sins and to seek Your cleansing (1 Jn. 1:9) that I may be freed from the bondage of sin (Gal. 5:1). I now ask You to reveal to my mind the ways that I have transgressed Your moral law and grieved the Holy Spirit so that I may stay pure in body and soul before You. I ask this, my Lord, strengthened by the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Blessed Michael the Archangel, of the Blessed Apostles Peters and Paul, and all the Saints and Angels of Heaven, and powerful in the holy authority of Your Name.

The Way of the Lord is not easy and never was. We fall, we pick ourselves up, we repent, we are forgiven our sins. Trust in God. There are no sins His mercy and love cannot overcome. Ask for Blessed Mother’s assistance in defeating your addictions and know that she will help you come to her son. God bless you! :signofcross:
 
I totally understand your struggle. Out of all things I have had to get a grip on and squash, pornography is the toughest to shake. :mad:
 
The prayer to St. Michael is very powerful. I suggest you use it immediately every time you feel tempted.

Please visit Matt Fradd’s web site. He is one who suffered from and broke his porn addiction. There are stories told by addicts who suffered from porn and drug addictions and they say the porn addiction is more difficult to beat. There are many who are addicted so realize you are not alone in your struggle and there are many who have broken this addiction so it is possible for anyone to break free. God bless and may He give you strength of spirit and the gift of virtue to combat this sin. 👍

Jesus still loves you. Praying for you. Going to Reconciliation and praying the rosary daily can help.

p.s. I know someone who had throat cancer because of his smoking. The doctor told him if he quits smoking he has a chance because they caught it so early on. However, he had great difficulty quitting. He even knew someone who committed suicide trying to quit smoking. In desperation he called for some people to pray for him. And, they came and prayed over him. And, the miracle is that he never smoked again. He never even had the desire to smoke again. It just went away when they prayed for him. Also, he went back to the doctor and they could not find any traces of the cancer. He still went through with the surgery because the doctors told him its better be safe than sorry. So, they removed some tissue from his throat. Now, after his operation he could no longer eat meat for a long time. And, it hurts to eat. But, he tells himself that pain means he is still alive. Praise the Lord! When, he was in the hospital there was something like 9 other people who had his condition. Unfortunately, within a year or so only 1 other person was still alive. The cancer had claimed all the others. But, it is amazing what God can do through the power of prayer.
