Dear Nicole,

I am so grateful you were blessed like this and have the answers you needed! You gave all of us a gift by sharing your story.

God bless! 😉

Very powerful. Thank you for sharing. You’re humility before God is very inspiring.

I wanted to thank you all for your responses. I had no idea what my thread would cause. I am sorry that some of you well meaning people got into arguments with eachother. I took the time and read every single reply. Some of them made me angry, and some of them made me cry. I decided to pray on it. and you know what? I realized why I was angry. because it is TRUTH. When I tell my 3 yr old son he can not climb on the counter because he will hurt himself he gets angry and cries and my answer to him is because I am your mommy and I know what is best for you. and I realized so does God. Some of the remarks of me going to hell or not acting Catholic etc upset me beacuse it was true. and sometimes u need to get angry to realize things. I also was quick at first to defend myself ( my initial reaction when I was reading them ) and realized I am defending it because I believe in it.
Also, I spoke with someone from the church I visited and they told em I could no longer pray prey the Rosary because it is just repition, i think useless repeition was the term used but i am not 100% correct, and I was flabbergasted because the Rosary is one of the strongest prayers against the Devil. I was also told that Jesus “paid it foward” on the cross so we are all going to heaven anyway…doesnt that give a free pass to do whatever you want if your gaurenteed a spot anyway? that would mean Hitler is sitting next to Mother Theresa.
Lastly, while praying the Rosary night before last I heard a small voice saying my name. I thought it was my son but then I knew it was now. It very distinctly told me it was not His will for me to leave the church and that Satan under the guile of other religions still " adoring Jesus" had led meany well meaning people away, but that He was the one true church and that it was His will that I suffer like this and that His reason for my suffering would be understood at a later time. I started crying and asked for forgivness. He told me to go to confession and sin no more. My fiance has agreed to wait for sex. and I feel 100000000 times better!!!
Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. I was so lost and was led to this board and really really am greatful for all your responses.

God Bless all of you!🙂
Praised be Jesus Christ!!! I am so happy for you! :harp: :signofcross: :hug1:

Hi NicoleCook, thanks be to God for proving to everyone that He never neglects His flock. By the way, i would suggest that you ask the Moderators to close your other thread so as to avoid confusion. God Bless †‡†

That’s interesting. In 1960, JFK had to convince Protestant voters he wouldn’t be too beholden to the Pope in Rome. Today it’s the opposite, and most conservative candidates for public office can’t be beholden enough to their faith. They wear it on their sleeve. George W. Bush even declared Jesus Christ his favorite philosopher in a Republican primary debate in 2000. Now there’s a new fight among people of faith.

As for Mitt, the good news is that a new CNN poll shows that 77% of Americans claim his Mormonism isn’t a deal breaker. (People obviously don’t like to sound intolerant to pollsters!) On the other hand, the poll also shows that 4 in 10 agree with that preacher from Big D that Mormons are not Christians. Beyond that, most Baptists are located in southern states that comprise what is now “the base” of the Republican Party. Mitt and the Republican Party need that base to be energized next year.

This Baptist-Mormon schism reminds that all religions require a belief in things unproven. That’s why it’s called faith. As humans we often “take things on faith” that we don’t absolutely, positively know for a fact.

I don’t begrudge anybody their faith, so I certainly wouldn’t get in the middle of a fight between the Grand Poobahs of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Latter-Day Saints of Salt Lake City. I’m no theologian.

But there are issues that affect us all, whether or not we share a candidate’s particular faith. The teaching of evolutionary biology, the funding of stem cell research, the belief in biblical Armageddon, to name three. If a candidate’s religious faith dictates their thinking on such matters, the voters deserve to know in advance because public policy is at stake. World War lll in the Middle East is also apparently now on the table, at least to “make a point” by scaring the citizenry, according to the White House.

Thank you Nicole.

We do not know Hitler is in Hell or not. He could’ve repented in the last very second of his breath. God is God of mercy. However, if one dies not in the state of grace and rejects God’s mercy, s/he chooses Hell himself. But who wants to be so sinful and wait until the last second to repent; Satan surely works very hard at the last second to make him turn away from God too!

Keep on praying the Rosary!

The more you come to know your faith in the Catholic church, the more you love the Lord.

I am very joyful with you.
He repented in the bunker along with Eva Braun as they both committed suicide? hmmm…if you read Traudl Junge’s autobiography (Hitler’s secretary) and watch the movie version called “Downfall,” you’ll probably see that up to the last minute he was an unapologetic anti-semite war-mongering, violent, evil man. His only regrets were that he couldn’t have accomplished his goal of ridding the world of “jewry.” There are scenes in the movie taken right out of her book in which she ate dinner with Hitler on his last day. He remarked over and over how strongly he regretted nothing and was proud of the Holocaust. He compared human beings to apes. “When apes see another ape that is not of their tribe come into their numbers, they beat that outsider ape to death. Apes are wise creatures. What’s good for the apes is even better for we Germans. We must be strong and unafraid to kill the inferior.”

Something tells me he and Ava, as they both killed themselves and after that shpeal, didn’t have any plans of renewing their baptisms. But as to the question whether they went to hell or not, that’s for God to decide. But I can say, if Hitler made it to heaven, then all our chances sure as shootin’ just went WAY UP! 6 million dead Jews, Europe left in ashes, mass slaughter and mayhem, and the deepest hatred of our modern age, my guess is that he had some questions to answer in death!

Nicole, it takes a high degree of spiritual maturity to admit one is wrong and to be receptive to the Holy Spirit. You have a lucid, insightful way of looking at your spirituality and soul. May God grant you peace and happiness! Glad you’re sticking around!!

Scott:thumbsup:😉

Did you post in the correct thread? Because nothing in your post is related to what the OP was talking about, and the last post in this thread is from February!
