Aww, I was just kidding about your brother having a baby. You didn’t say what country your in, but I assume that your mother would be eligible for some type of social services. When you say you are an academic one thinks of one being a teacher or professor. I may sound like I have a lot, but don’t believe that my life was ever easy and not without struggles. I am so sorry that I sent you the wrong vibes and apologize for it. Keep in mind that 3/4 of the world is far worse off than we are.
I have a van because of the distance that I have to drive. I have an old car just in case the van has a problem. Where I live there isn’t much public transportation so I am dependent on the van/car. I will pray that things get better for you. Peace.
 
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

Well there are many types of jobs in academia. If I got one as a lecturer, I would be very happy.
