fact is I “knew” as a very, very young child that it is what happens
I’m in a very similar situation as yourself. However, if we are able to live again, or have done so in the past, it is most likely that it is entirely by choice. I have never found these views to interfere with my love of God, Christianity or the Catholic faith. By strict definition I am a heretic and I say so in my profile. But I still love being here and going to Mass. The subject rarely comes up and needn’t be a hindrance of any kind as far as I’m concerned.

LAST PART:

Just know, that I myself am extremely happy, I went back to the Catholic Church and that I value my gift of life from God in a much deeper, much more genuine and much more valuable way now than I ever did when I believed in reincarnation.

In addition to the advices from Catholic4ever, please “try the thought of the ONE life on”. Give it some time.

Also, in the Bible, we have people who had dreams, visions and such stuff. Maybe you are a person who have dreams and visions and such stuff. And maybe these have left in your little 1-5 year old being the concept of reincarnation. But you know what? Maybe there is another interpretation of these dreams and visions than you think now. We have seen many mystics through the times. And to all of them (that we know about, I am thinking about many of the saints), God guided them in how to navigate through life; how to live in accordance with His commandments.

Have faith, dear one. Use the silence of Christmas to become as a little child yourself. Dare to be so open, so insecure and so dependent on our Father that you are fully open to the Truth …that is also the Life and the Way. Use the silence to ask Jesus, as the little insecure child you let yourself be, to show you what to do next. And lay yourself into His arms. Have faith that whatever happens, Jesus is walking beside you and all is well. You don’t have to know your earlier lives or your future (ones) to let Jesus guide you. Just pray from your pure and humble heart. Surrender to Jesus and have faith He already is holding your hand.

Merry Christmas ❤️

Thank you for sharing your journey and compelling experience. Truth finds the way! God bless!

) so I’m wondering if I regularly went to confession and confessed believing in reincarnation with an openness to (but pretty much no actual expectation that) my mind might be changed would it then be licit to partake in the rest of the sacraments?
Perfect solution, of course you can.
As Aquinas wisely stated 800 years ago. The act of faith terminates in a person not in articles of faith.
It is enough to believe in Jesus, he will one day be able to show you in a convincing fashion.
God bless.
