Sou brasileiro! A Teologia da Libertação afetou muito todos países católicos da América do Sul.
What law? Established by who? In a classless society who enforces the laws? The hierarchy within the church is irrelevant, as long as the church doesn’t break the law
And In addition read Pope Pius XII encyclical Divini Redemptoris for a complete treatment on modern communism which is largely atheistic communism.Curious11:![]()
YesAny thoughts on this?
Take your time to read this. It is helpful for an informed discussion.

Good grief! Well there are reams and reams of catholic treatments on the heresy of liberation theology. How much time do you have to get up to speed on all that?Liberation theology. Which is more widely practiced in today’s world than atheist communism
Except that a large extent of communism is based upon production. What do priests and religious of any sort “produce” in material goods? Yet they would consume goods. How long would it take for people to say they are a privileged class because they do not produce anything of value yet they consume? You’re right. I guess social customs? In any case, religious hierarchy is irrelevant
Self sustaining religious communes? They don’t own the property or the resources to be self sustaining. What they produce is not theirs to sustain themselves on. A self sustaining religious commune is not communism. That’s not true. Elderly people could be looked after with resources produced by the working population, in theory. Priests could be maintained by voluntary contributions to the Catholic Church or set up self sustaining religious communes (also known as monasteries)
