I can see demons

I believe that success in casting out demons probably depends upon multiple factors. Two of them were revealed in Mathew. Jesus told the disciples that these kind cannot be cast out by you unless you pray and fast. Here he tells us that there are different levels of demons. Some of them are easier to deal with than others. He also tells us that it is a matter of faith. Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.

I have heard lay people claiming to have cast out demons. They probably did. There are demons and there are DEMONS.

Since the priest actually doesn’t have the power, but acts as an instrument, why does he seem to have to be in the same house as the person needing the exorcism?
I acceppt your understanding. For a number of years my wife and I have had to cast out demons. However at times Onr Lord has alowed us to us to be in contact with demons that we have not been able to cast out.
They have not been able to destroy or damage us because God did not alow them to. We have been told that we could not cast them out because we were not clean enough, or , as scripture tells us we have to fast or pray. Some things I cannot tell you about in this area but if you wish then write and I could tell you but only for your own edification in line with the Bible and church.

I have been trying to figure out why some of us are allowed to see these things and others aren’t. From childhood I have been able to know when they are near. I always assumed they were equal but a recent experience has taught me they come in varying degrees of strength.

Anyway, my niece is like me and has been able to see them at times. We’re not crazy, it’s just something we’ve been given. I just don’t understand why. I really wish I could get a concrete answer from the Church as to why some are allowed to see and others aren’t (and I’m not referring to possession or attack here, just the ability to glimpse them here or there).

Now, your situation is different because you believe you’re under attack whereas I feel I am allowed to glimpse them so I can take action (I see them attached to people, I see them attached to things/places, I’ve ever seen/heard/felt them in churches and I knew then to avoid those churches). However, know that these things will only persist if you allow them to control your actions (avoiding Church because of them is giving them control to a degree).

I have given this advice to MANY people and I don’t know if it works or not but it works for me. Fill your home with worship noises (Gregorian Chant CDs, Mass, whatever it takes). There is nothing more detestable to them then the noise of our Lord being praised. During a particular difficult time I went to sleep with a Gregorian Chant CD playing and that was the only way I could sleep uninterrupted (at one point they took to throwing things around my room to try and get my attention and while I ignored it it definitely disturbed my sleep but with the music playing I couldn’t hear the noise anyway so 🙂 ). This is just simplistic, non-Church backed advice that has worked in my experience but since I was never outright attacked I’m not sure if it will work for you.

I’d follow the advice of others and speak to your parish Priest. The last dismissed you but find a new one and just let him know that you’re not crazy and genuinely need some advice.

I have been searching for the truth for years. I am a Christ follower and I have begun and stopped RCIA many times due to being taunted by demons. It scares me away from God’s One Church. People say I am either crazy or truly blessed. I am craving the Eucharist. I currently go to a Protestant church and I feel something missing. When I prayed about it, I got my sign when this church did a symbolic gesture of The Last Supper today. Just a symbol, IRK! I have to experience the body and blood of Christ! That is what is missing for me. But when I get closeto The Church, His Church, I put myself to sleep saying Hail Mary’s to fight against demons that scare me. They go away when I am not persuing the Catholic Faith. I have been seen by psychologists and therapists because I was afraid I was crazy. Well, I’m not. This is real. Any advice on how to fight this or anyone who has gone through thistoo please help.
I believe I have the same experience to share. Most of the time their attact somehow coincides the time between just about to douse off and being still half awake…
Catholics are lucky for they have the experience of Saints who’ve been there done that ect…
Somehow ,all of us who want to follow Christ will be attacked.
Now that you believe in the supernatural are now better equip to fight back.
one being strong in your relation/standing with God…This spiritual warfare has no middle ground.Put your self under the protection of the Church blessed sacraments ,the holy water, crucifixes, pray your rosaries…ect. They the evil spirit couldn’t stand the sound of prayer ringing in the air.,the sight of the blessed cross,st.Benedick crosses.
also one revelation to one saint by the mother of Christ…is to say ,pray that you or any love one be put under the protection of Immaculate Conception. When we sleep, they don’t sleep.
You can liken them to a very nasty dog,but with a chain, unless you cross /go to their
ground. They can’t real harm unless permitted by God.God is always in control.
So always keep holy water with you and wear/pray your rosaries…
This you wont do unless you believe…That is the difference,we Christians walk by faith and not by sight…This alone ,by helping I may be attacked,I am use to it already.
I just alway pray to God to protect me by invoking my favorite saints and of course my daily prayers.rosaries, the holy sacrifice of the mass. good luck

Hello, i am very sorry to hear about whats happening. First i recommend consecrating your house to the sacred and the immaculate hearts. Place Brown scapulars on the doors ( wear one to, Google free Fatima gifts and there you will find free green and brown scapulars.) Place green scapulars on the doors also and wear one, they offer great protection against the devil. St. Benedict medals are WONDERFUL!! Sprinkle holy water around your house, bless yourself and with holy water get some on your finger and on the windows and doors make a cross when demons see that they will run, because of its power over them. Sleep with a rosary under your pillow, have a crucifix over your bed. if this does not work contact your parish priest and have him bless your home. Hope this helps!!
( Make sure with the Scapular’s, rosary’s, st. Benedict medals and crucifixes you have them blessed by a priest.)

Say this prayer out loud when ever you feel this:

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Save me. Save me. Save me. Have mercy on me.

Let me know how it works out.

With all respect to MtnDwellar, I recommend that the OP not answer questions about how they look, etc. I experienced attacks when I started RCIA, too. I feel very strongly that it is best not to go into detail about them. We should not focus on the demons, but on God. Let’s not nourish an unnecessary curiosity about evil, but keep our eyes on Our Lord and trust Him to deliver us when He sees fit.
Excellent advice IMO.

I believe it was St. Theresa who reacted to the demons by saying something like, “Oh, it’s only you.” Do not give them any power.
I agree. Since everyone is quoting things almost two years later…lol.👍

When the nightmares become unbearable, I always start saying, “Ave Maria plena gratia Dominus tecum…” and at the word Iesu everything immediately becomes much better. In the past I have woke up saying the Jesus Prayer repeatedly. In either case, the holy Name of Jesus is Who helps me. Asking for Mary’s intercession has proved the most efficacious.

There have been times where I’ve been visited by horrible faces and twisted images speaking horribly degrading things and terrifying threats; things I don’t wish on anyone.

It went away for a year or three, but has recently started back up again. Although not as bad as when I returned to the Faith.

It is my understanding this not exactly uncommon, and that it’s just something you have to put up with. I have had the opposite. And, that is a pure joy. Even after a few years the effect of certain consolations has not diminished but only grown stronger; truly wonderful things. Christ is truly present Eucharist, and shows Himself particularly in the Monstrance on certain holy days like holy Thursday.

I am a weak and sinful man.

Thank God for Mary whose tears are co-mingled with the Blood and Water pouring from the Crucifix even now.

Are you on any medications? That would take a psychiatrist and not the ones you mentioned. This is very important, if you do this all these things may go away from you. From reading your paragraph, it’s sounds to me like you may be suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, I know my stuff, it takes a dose of anti-psychotic pills, every day, to counter. There’s no need to worry, many people have this and it’s completely solvable. Although I believe myself there is a spiritual reason which causes it, I will keep this to myself and suggest you see a doctor and psychiatrist, as soon as possible. Even if it is genuine, it will still help to get rid of it. It may take weeks to really start working and months to really start working perfectly, so keep this in mind, don’t stop taking them, and let your doctor help you as best as possible.

I’ll pray for you, but this particular problem needs both medication and prayer. I’m a believer myself, and I’m working on becoming a clergy person, actually looking up a saint when I found this, and from my experience and study on this matter is that people who suffer from this need medication. It strengthens the neural activity in your brain, I believe even in genuine cases, this very much helps to solve it, even if it is spiritual in nature as well. 🙂 All the best. You should first see a doctor, but if you need someone to talk to on the side, you can comment on my post here or message me, I’ll try my best to respond as soon as possible.

That goes for anyone else who is having the same problem as this person too. 🙂

These recent comments remind me of the Spongebob episode when Patrick and Spongebob try selling chocolate to an old woman: “What?! What?! What are they selling?!”

I can see posters going, “What?! Is this still going on?!”

You are conflicted and your faith is shaken because of confusion or fear. Do not fear anything, but GOD. A fear of GOD is good, but fear of anything else is unnatural. Just pray for discernment to GOD in the name of JESUS for the truth and where to go. Asking for guidance should never be feared. It is better for us to lean not on our own understanding, but on the grace of GOD through his son lord JESUS.

Praise be to GOD the heavenly father and his son lord JESUS CHRIST forever>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

THE SIGN OF THE CROSS

Book Review:
St. Francis de Sales’ little treatise entitled The Sign of the Cross begins by explaining how to make the sign of the Cross. It may seem like a no-brainer at first, but I’d bet that very few Catholics know why we make the Sign of the Cross the way we do. To summarize St. Francis de Sales, we use our right hand, because it is “the more worthy of the two.” With our right hand, we use either three fingers to represent the Trinity or five fingers to represent Jesus’ five wounds. We begin the prayer by placing our right hand on our forehead to acknowledge that God the Father is the one from whom all things originate. Next, we move our hand down to our stomach as a sign that Jesus proceeded from the Father. Lastly, we cross ourselves from left shoulder to right shoulder to show that the Holy Spirit proceeds from both the Father and the Son and that He is the bond of love between Father and Son. Let that information sink in, and reflect on it going forward each time you make the Sign of the Cross.

The rest of this book deals with the origins, history, uses, and benefits of the Sign of the Cross. For example, did you know that in early times the Sign of the Cross was made on the forehead? It eventually evolved to its present form, but early Christians put the Sign on their forehead both as a profession of faith and an invocation of God’s assistance in every aspect of their lives. The most fascinating chapter to me was entitled “A Defense against Demons.” In this chapter, St. Francis de Sales quotes various Church Fathers, from St. Athanasius to St. John Chrysostom, all of whom speak about the power of the Sign of the Cross over Satan and his minions. It is truly a simple but powerful weapon that so many fail to realize they possess. So, in the words of Origen, “Let us rejoice, my beloved friends, and lift holy hands to heaven in the form of the Cross; when the demons see us armed in this way they will be crushed.”

If you are looking for a simple way to deepen your prayer life, then pick up a copy of The Sign of the Cross. You will gain a wealth of spiritual benefits from reading this book, but you must not stop there. You must then act upon what you have read. Slow down when crossing yourself. Think about each word as you say it. Also, start using the Sign of the Cross in every aspect of your life! You don’t have to just use it at the beginning and ending of formal prayer. You can use it when starting and ending a task at work. By doing this, you will make your entire day a prayer to God. These fifteen words can transform your life, if you only let them.

I also recommend getting the book:
An Exorcist Tells His Story
Exorcist Father Vince Lampert says, If people no longer believe in Evil, then the converse will be as true as well, people will no longer believe in God, or will move further away from him. If the devil can convince us that he does not exist, then we really have no need for a savior, no need for Christ.

Exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth says, All those that do not believe in the devil, actually help the devil, he is very happy that most do not believe he exists. Because when a person does not believe in the devil, then the devil has more freedom and the person can’t have freedom over the devil.
Father Amorth explains the five types of diabolical activity - possession, oppression, obsession, infestation and subjugation - and with many anecdotes shows how exorcism deals successfully, if sometimes laboriously, with these manifestations of evil. He emphasises that the ‘ordinary means’ of overcoming satanic malice are always prayer, the sacraments, fasting and striving to live a Christian life – ‘Confession is stronger than an exorcism’ – yet accepts that sometimes exorcisms (‘extraordinary means’) are vital to the life and health of a sufferer. One tormented individual wrote about his possession thus: ‘I started to suffer as I had never done before…I felt my body was a stranger. I was prey to the strongest despair and I saw, I know not with whose eyes, a terrible darkness that was not part of the room in which I was…It was as though I was been killed by an unseen knife and I felt that whoever was pressing this knife hated me and wanted something more than my death…’

Among many other graphic stories, the author includes the letter of gratitude he received from a husband whose wife had suffered for fifteen years before exorcism gave her peace. He wrote, ‘She went through a period when sudden blindness would strike at random. Alternately, she behaved like a deaf-mute or would cry out with horrible screams. She even tried to throw herself out the window…At night she would rise and run through the streets or see diabolic visions…I constantly had to leave work and run home; it was a nightmare…She could not pray. The mere presence of a priest enraged her. I began to despair.’

Those possessed need to be distinguished from those suffering from a psychiatric illness; much experience (and co-operation with psychiatrists) is needed for this discernment. ‘Aversion to the sacred is, without a doubt, a significant symptom of evil interference’, the author informs us, although he also seeks other corroborative signs such as blasphemy, outbursts of rage and uncontrollable violence.

Symptoms of Demonic Influence

What say you? Is this more proof of the supernatural’s dark side?

How would a skeptic react to this “proof”?

PRAYER AGAINST EVERY EVIL

Spirit of our God, Father, Son , and Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Immaculate Virgin Mary, angels, archangels, and saints of Heaven, descend upon me. Please purify me, Lord, mold me, fill me with Yourself, use me. Banish all the forces of evil from me, destroy them, vanquish them, so that I can be healthy and do good deeds. Banish from me all spells, witchcraft, black magic, malefice, ties, maledictions, and the evil eye; diabolic infestations, oppressions, possessions; all that is evil and sinful, jealousy, perfidy, envy; physical, psychological, moral, spiritual, diabolical ailments. Burn all these evils in hell, that they may never again touch me or any other creature in the entire world. I command and bid all the powers who molest me – by the power of God all powerful, in the name of Jesus Christ our Savior, through the intercession of the Immaculate Virgin Mary – to leave me forever, and to be consigned into the everlasting hell, where they will be bound by Saint Michael the archangel, Saint Gabriel, Saint Raphael, our guardian angels, and where they will be crushed under the heel of the Immaculate Virgin Mary.
