I cannot be present for Sunday's novena prayers; what can I do?

I have begun the Devine Mercy Novena today - Good Friday - but I know I will not be able to attend the Devine Mercy services scheduled next Sunday in the afternoon when the congregation gathers and not only says the Devine Mercy Prayers but also has a benediction and Litany etc. I will be going to Mass that Sunday - but just cannot attend the afternoon special Devine Mercy services (not Mass). Will my Devine Mercy Novena still count?
