I can't sing. At all

NaturalEnquirer,
I keep quoting the line about Catholic meaning “here comes everyone.” That includes people who are less than talented vocally. You are a prime example of “the halt and the lame” who were invited to the wedding feast. Your infirmity is vocal, but have no fear, the psalmist says to “make a joyful noise to the Lord.” God had you in mind when he had that written down for all posterity. If your voice is as bad as you say it will indeed be a noise. Never mind, you’ll find yourself in good company. My brother once characterized me as incapable of carrying a tune in a bushel basket. It took me three more decades to finally find my singing voice. Now I get complemented for my singing. They frequently want to know why I’m not in the choir. There is a radio program (WXXI sells it to other PBS stations) of sacred music, vocal and organ music primarily, called “With heart and voice.” Note that it is heart first and voice second. Be sure your heart is in it and no one will mind the voice.

Matthew
