Dear Friends, I have asked for your prayers before on this, and Im afraid I have to ask again.
Last weekend I went to the hospital from a possible TIA. This after my drunken cousin * kept screaming for alcohol and soiling his cloths and furniture in the living room. Sorry, I know it is gross.

I flipped out sort of and than began to feel bad. The hospital found no damage on the MRI but did say my ammonia levels were elevated and that I was showing signs of exhaustion. I have have had high triglyceride levels for 30 years, so I guess my kidneys and liver are being affected. They kept me for two days running tests. I slept most of the time.

Everyone hates being in the hospital, but for me it was heaven. No crashing furniture, no smell, no begging no crying no sippie cups of water no “please give me something to eat.”
I stayed all this time as he is family. Everyone else has given up on him and won’t help out. I have enough money for some gas and the power bill. I have enough to eat, as I have a source for food.

This man has sucked the life force out of me. I get so physically weak when he gets to drinking around the clock. I wouldnt wish this on a death row convict. I should have left when I got out of the hospital. Its just that no one will take my dogs, not that I blame them. He keeps wanting me to take him to church, but how can I take a drunk into church?

I want to go, but I don’t want them to cut the power and the gas off in the middle of winter. It has been consistently colder in Atlanta than Anchorage Alaska. [we are at a high elevation] When I came home from family Christmas, I had to take him to the hospital. He might die or freeze to death or fall down the stairs… what a mess. I keep taking him to detox and he stays a week, gets out, and starts back. He gets my checkbook or my debit card when I am asleep to buy booze sometimes. Sometimes he gets a check from a family member.

God, he is calling my name right now. Im just going to bed and lock the door and hope nothing happens. Please pray for me again. Thanks.*

You are in my prayers. And don’t be afraid of asking for prayers…we all need them!

May the Holy Family wrap you in their loving embrace and
keep you safe from harm. In His precious
name I ask this Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

I think this would be a fitting time for you to seek the intercession of our beloved St. Jude, the Patron of Desperate Cases. Also, say the Prayer to St. Joseph and seek his glorious intercession as well. I would also suggest saying a Novena to our Blessed Mother. You will have a team of Holy Saints praying on your behalf. The Church Triumphant in Heaven and the Church Militant here on Earth! How awesome!
:signofcross:

**In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Oh glorious apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered thy beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused thee to be forgotten by many, but the Church honors and invokes thee universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who am so miserable; make use, I implore thee, of that particular privilege accorded thee of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly (mention your request), and that I may bless God with thee and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise thee, O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor thee as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to thee. Amen
**

**Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your devine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls - Pray for me.**

(This prayer was found in the fiftienth year of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In 1505 it was sent from the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle. Whoever shall read this prayer or hear it or keep it about themselves, shall never die a sudden death, or be drowned, not shall posion take effect of them; neither shall they fall into the hands of the enemy; or shall be burned in any fire, or shall be overpowered in battle.)

Say for nine mornings for anything you may desire. It has never been known to fail, so be sure you really want what you ask.)

**Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen **

Lord, you promised that your yoke is light and that we would not be tested beyond our means. Please hear esieffe’s plea for your help in this matter. Send angels and a “Simon” to help carry this cross, just as you had a Simon to help you carry your cross. Endow with much grace this cousin, for the virtues of faith, hope, love, joy, fortitude, courage, and magnanimity. Spare a foretaste of heavenly light into this situation and may strength prevail, and may the right words always be said. Ultimately, see that love prevail in this situation from all parties. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Esieffe, you found the hospital testing to be a good experience?! That’s not a good sign. 😦

I’m concerned ** you** might die through this. Really.

An alcoholic saps the life not only out of themselves but everyone around.

Are you going to Alanon? ga-al-anon.org/Library/meetings.php

At some point, I believe you will need to leave him. There probably will never be a good time to do that, though.

Can you get yourself some counseling to help you decide how to handle this? This just can’t continue like that. Do you have health insurance that will cover any visits?

I know you’ve also wanted to have a real life, a relationship, but even the nicest, most patient, kindest woman would lose patience under those circumstances.

He crossed all the boundaries. No wonder your health is all wrecked.

If you remember nothing else of what I’ve said, I want you to remember this one message:

Take care of yourself. Please. Please get help. God bless you and help you.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blest is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Praying St. Patrick’s prayer for you…

I bind unto myself today
The power of God to hold and lead,
His eye to watch, His might to stay,
His ear to hearken to my need.
The wisdom of my God to teach,
His hand to guide, His shield to ward,
The word of God to give me speech,
His heavenly host to be my guard.

Against the demon snares of sin,
The vice that gives temptation force,
The natural lusts that war within,
The hostile men that mar my course;
Or few or many, far or nigh,
In every place and in all hours,
Against their fierce hostility,
I bind to me these holy powers.

Against all Satan’s spells and wiles,
Against false words of heresy,
Against the knowledge that defiles,
Against the heart’s idolatry,
Against the wizard’s evil craft,
Against the death wound and the burning,
The choking wave and the poisoned shaft,
Protect me, Christ, till Thy returning.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

I bind unto myself the Name,
The strong Name of the Trinity;
By invocation of the same.
The Three in One, and One in Three,
Of Whom all nature hath creation,
Eternal Father, Spirit, Word:
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation is of Christ the Lord.
:highprayer:

Praying for you & your intentions & your cousins recovery from alcoholism.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

You need to move out and leave him to his own devises. Enough is enough.

As hard as it may be you might have to relinquish your dogs to a no-kill shelter. I know this would just kill me as we have dogs and cats too and this would only be a last ditch choice. I hope you can find someone to take them for you.

My sister had to move after a fire once, and she knew people she trusted to love a couple of her dogs. She gave them up to them. It was hard, but at least she knew who had them and that they would be cared for.

I will pray for a resolution to this problem for you that is for your best interests in health, body and mind. I am so sorry this is so hard for you.

dear friend,
not to worry-help is coming-

I consecrate myself to Mother Mary, my heart, my mind, my body, my soul; i consecrate myself to Thee-my Mother, my Queen

I ask that a soul find peace upon this hour-that you request from the King of Heaven-to send the Holy Spirit- the presence of God…

O thou our advocate, Blessed Virgin Mary, turn on us those pitying eyes of thine.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
