I converted from Satanism to Roman Catholicism

Hello,

I’d like to ask for people’s prayers here. I converted to Roman Catholicism through the RCIA program this past April 7th on the Easter Vigil Mass. Prior to that, I was deeply involved in Satanism. I was a member of a group called “the Brotherhood”, and I had a teacher that I was learning from for several years. I was proficient in witchcraft, demonolatry (worshipping demons), and various forms of rituals. My apartment had altars to many different demons who I would pray to and offer incense and offerings on daily basis in return for money, sex, and different favors. (and yes, it works!)
One day, one of my rituals went wrong and the demons I worked with became unpleasant to be around. One of the demons on my altar would cause me to be sick to me stomach when I prayed to it.

Their presence was suffocating and I needed them gone. I purchased a St Michael candle and prayed the prayer on the back and asked Michael to send the demons away from my home. Almost instantly, the demonic presence disappeared. I then realized that God had more power that the demons which I worshipped and worked with as allies on a daily basis. After a few months, my girlfriend at the time (who is now engaged to me, and we are preparing for marriage!) talked with me about Satanism and about how God uses bad experiences in life to bring people to Him. I decided to throw out all my occult stuff and join the Catholic Church.
It’s a struggle, but I’m doing my best to live by Christ’s commandments and live as God wills me to. I’m under pressure often to return to the occult, but I know this would be a grave sin and I dont want to go back. The power you gain from Satanism is highly addicting, but it doesnt compare to the peace that Jesus gives. I just wanted to share this testimony and ask that you pray for me that God would bless my life as I live for Him and for protection against my old companions, as I’m sure they are angry with me. I still find myself under constant attack from the enemy through temptation and nightmares.

Your Brother in Christ,

-Matt Brown
WELCOME HOME! Now add the Rosary and the Chaplet of St. Michael daily. And I second the poster who mentioned about talking about it to a priest and have an exorcism done. 🙂 God bless you and your loved ones. Congratulations for your engagement; remember to let God be the center of it. 🙂

Matt, I just want you to be encouraged that we honestly love you and care for you as our brother in Christ! I’m so thankful you are now living your life for God!

I’m not eloquent, but when I say I’m praying, you can be sure I am. I’m not sure why I feel such a strong need to pray for you and your fiance, but I just want to throw it out there so you know I’m your sister and I care about the new path you’re walking. I feel like God has wonderful things in store for you. Maybe not a huge house or fame, but wonderful surprises in even the small things. I pray that God draws you close and demons who try to distract you from our Father be rebuked by the power of Jesus’ name and are bound to the foot of the cross to be judged by our Creator.

Please be strong and know that God is our only path to eternal salvation. Satan will be defeated.:extrahappy:

mjb472012, continued Prayers for you.

Blessed Bartolo Longo, please Pray for mjb472012. Amen.

This topic is an inspiration!

mjb472012 thank you for your story. Heaven is truly in joy today! God is undeniably calling you to fulfill a special need; perhaps evangelism, preaching, motivating, maybe even priesthood! The possibilities are endless. That’s for the future though. One step at a time. For now, find God again. Go to Church, receive the sacraments (talk to a priest first with Reconciliation) and best of all, PRAY! Get down on your knees and acknowledge God, thank Him, praise Him and offer your life to Him, lest the demon return!

Here is a quick scriptural thought. Jesus says in the Bible that when an evil spirit is cast out, it goes away, and returns eventually to try enter again. However, it finds that the ‘place’ (in this case, you, your life) has been swept clean and put in order. So, the evil spirit goes away and returns with 7 more evil spirits to try destruct the place again! Not that this should frighten you. See it as motivation. Temptation will come your way. Satan will attempt everything he knows to draw you back. As Jesus told the old lady in the book of John, “sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you”. Do not let your guard down! Carry a photo of St Micheal with you if possible, maybe a pocket-sized card in your wallet. And, get yourself a good pair of rosary beads! (and by good, I mean whatever you like!). You can use them to pray, but you can also wear them around your neck; God will watch over you and you and you shall be blessed!

Here is a quick video illustration of what your victory is like. In fact, all of our victories. It’s the death scene from the Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson (give it a watch now as we approach Lent and Easter time). Jesus’ death for the salvation of souls is a victory in Heaven. Notice also in the end with Satan yelling in defeat; that’s what it is, a defeat for Satan, who has lost one of his evil servants. Rejoice at this for you have made Satan cry out in defeat and desperation.

God Bless! I will keep you in my prayers!

Praise the Lord !

We pray & suffer for Sinners so that they can be Saved ! Please say this prayer !

Our Lord promised St. Gertrude the Great that 1000 souls would be released from purgatory each time it is said devoutly.

‘Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.’

Wonderful places to start your journey !

Good Man! Your name will go on my names to pray for list. I am nobody but there are many Prayer Warriors here who nover post. And you will have many giving you support and covering your back in Prayer.

May the Peace of the Lord Jesus Christ Be Yours and May You Be Covered in His Precious Blood,

BP

Amazing story, I have not heard of that many people converting from the opposite of Catholicism. What can we do in our culture to combat the evil that lurks at every corner. How can we be warriors of God, and defend Christendom.
