We have hereditary allergies in my family, so we just play “run past the candle store.”

Mine is more or less, people give me guitars. Some are in pretty bad shape, but I intend on fixing them up.

You mean I have a choice? I don’t have to go in there? Well then how do I flirt with the women that work there?

Can’t say I’ve ever thought much about the subject of how I should flirt with women…

I once told a woman at the waffle house I was going to marry her. She eventually got married, so it that obviously didn’t happen. But that’s a story for a different post. Maybe I have too many stories.

It’s a temptation every time I walk past the candle section in a store to sample all of them.

‘Fresh Cut Frasier’ was my recent favorite, along with ‘Rustic Wooden Cabin’.

I’m not sure if I would want to know what freshly cut Kelsey Grammer would smell like. Maybe if I only got it out for Halloween. 😯

The plant version is great though.

I really love candles.

There are some really great scents out there. 🙂

We get those little “car jar” fragrances that they make to freshen up the inside of your car.

Ohhh, those make for a really lovely aromatherapy experience whenever you are in your car.

They come in the same fragrances that the scented candles do, and one little car jar lasts for several weeks.

They are shaped like little mini jar candles encased in plastic, and they have some type of a gel inside that has a candle-type of a scent to it. So lovely! 😀

I can’t have too many flowers growing.Love books, searching out childhood favourites …they still give that special feel.
I have roses and jasmine to scent the house at the moment
nice dreams 🙂

Oh, I definitely sample all of them… Rustic wood cabin sounds great.
My current favorite is ‘Warm tobacco pipe’. It’s just perfect for this time of year…

I just ordered two more books.

I have no idea where I’ll put them.

Candles are purely functional here with no electricity so they do not live long …and two moves in a year have robbed me of most hoarding. Yarn , yes, when gifted and that is functional too… I admit there are things I had t give away or leave behind that I do miss. And of course, being in a very small pension means I buy very little. Novels etc from charity shops and they go back there… still in this new place, collecting friends etc.

Birds at my bird feeder. My other little feathery family. 🐦 🕊️

My cats like them too, however they’re only allowed to observe from the window.
🐱 😾 🙀

Adam,

Thanks for your post! I love buying books (even though I feel guilty buying them because I don’t read them). It’s great to know that I’m not the only one!
