I did it--I canceled my cable tv!

We are going in the opposite direction in my house…my husband just called the cable company last night TO ADD the hockey channel.:rolleyes: But, we both agreed that it would be an early Christmas present.🙂
 
Good for you. I’m keeping mine and watching whatever I want to watch.

We ditched cable about 3 years ago. Without cable we don’t pick regular channels (except a fuzzy CBS). We’re so used to not having TV, it’s no big deal anymore. We do belong to Netflix so we rent a lot of dvds to watch.
 
It’s amazing how much more time you have when you turn the tv off!! I have to admit I am going through withdrawal.
 
We’re considering it. All of DH’s shows are usually available as downloads from Sci-Fi, and there’s nothing that I watch regularly. However, I would miss being able to flip on the TV and randomly catch “Dirty Jobs” or “Mythbusters” or “Good Eats” when I’m tired and need to zone out for an hour.

Maybe when I’m done with school we can drop cable. For now, it’s relatively cheap and easy mindnumbing.
