I think it’s beautiful.

BTW, this is the second time I’ve seen the Agni Parthene mentioned today on the forums.

Of course, I meant adore in the honoring sense 😛

If a mod catches this maybe they might like to change it to honor for me. That’s what I meant. 😃

Remember each night that Palestinians elected a terrorist government who’s goal is the slaughter of the entire nation of Israel.

Pray that they might see the truth and reject the evil which they have embraced.

Pray for peace for the Israelis and their peaceful neighbors.
 
This beautiful hymn was written by St. Nekatrios of Pentaopolis (an Orthodox bishop).

It’s available in English on line–both words and music.

It’s VERY reminiscent of the Litany of Loretto.

Truely beautiful. There’s something going on here. I need to go away and think why it should be that Mary can inspire such music from such gifted people, such profound stirings of the soul through the ears. Maybe I am missing something after all.

Adoration is not for creatures - only for God. In case no one else notices that. As for beauty - try going to an Orthodox Liturgy. The argument from beauty can tell against a particular religion, & for others. :cool:​

Yes it has always seemed to me that Mary and Christmas have the best hymns overall. Also it seems that when something is sung in the original tongue it is often more beautiful than a translation.
Even if I don’t understand the words the music along with the sound can draw you in, like with the hymn you originally posted.

By the Way, just wondering have you been able to make an appointment yet?
