I find the quotes by the pope disturbing.
I can assure you that there is no way that Pope Francis will “declare” this “addition” to the Trinity. As I said in a previous post that I’m sure you read, adding a FOURTH would make it NOT be a TRINITY.
These articles are CLEARLY NOT from Catholic sources, and you clearly swallowed the hook as well as the bait. Mayhaps a little more discernment on the part of readers of these articles would go a long way and save us all some time and effort clearing up gross misunderstandings.
Ask yourself this: Is there ANYONE else out there that is running this story?
I read a story on the internet once that assured me that extra terrestrial mafiosi were hired by the KGB to kill President Kennedy using magic bullets. THAT story is more believable than the story of Francis making Mary part of the Trinity. Consider the source.
It seems that many people believe that they are the only ones who have the “truth”. The catholic church reminds me of my church in ways.
Many claim to have the Truth. Almost all have SOME truth. Only ONE has the WHOLE TRUTH.
“Marion” theology? Theology is the study of God, not Mary. The SDA church filters everything through Ellen White, COG7DAY Herbert W Armstrong and the list goes on. Then the Catholic Church claims they gave us the Bible and they alone can rightfully interpret it. I think it’s sad.
First of all, it’s spelled “Marian”, not “MariOn”. Secondly, your SDA community was founded by four people in Michigan in 1863; whereas the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church was founded in Israel in AD 33 by the King of the Universe. I’m afraid that gives it more than enough right to interpret Sacred Scripture.
Do you mean to tell me that anyone and everyone can interpret Scripture however they please? Is that why all the Protestants agree on everything (like which day is actually the Sabbath)? Do the SDAs have the bishops and priests that are spoken of in the Bible? The Catholic Church does.
You say that you think it’s sad that the Catholic Church claims to have given us the Bible and is alone in having the authority to interpret it. You are entitled to your beliefs; but I think it’s sad that you actually believed that Pope Francis would make Mary a part of the Trinity (when he clearly can’t).
Yeah; I am trusting Christ; some of this stuff sounds a bit cultish to me
I think you need to educate yourself a little more about the Catholic Church and what we really believe before you scurry off to your keyboard and start talking about “cultish” Catholic beliefs.
I shall pray for your enlightenment.
Good day, sir.
