Thanks to all who have replied to my previous post. I guess I don’t hate women now. I am sorry if I did resent them it is just I have suffered from Asperger’s and Manic Depressive Disorder that I have not had an easy time to relate to others although now I am doing better. I cannot hate women. I also have learned that having arousals for women is natural. Maybe I wasn’t struggling with lust because lust is extreme sexual pleasure and as of now when I knew I was being too aroused I normally stopped. I was also hurt with women because I became infatuated with them and I felt if I loved women I would infatuate with them.

That’s great. It still really sounds like you should consult a therapist and spiritual director to help you with your challenges.

I’m glad you are feeling better. It is perfectly normal to feel attracted to a person of the opposite sex. If we weren’t, the human race would have died off thousands of years ago.

But just because you are attracted to them does not mean you have to be aroused or have lustful thoughts. I encounter attractive women every day but that doesn’t mean I want to hop into bed with them, or worse, sexually assault them.

How will you ever find the right woman for you (if you are searching) if you don’t at least look at them?

I do however, second the other people’s suggestion that you follow up with a therapist/priest/both.

Congrats on your progress. It can be difficult, but good luck on maintaining your perspective and some healthy detachment. 😉

That’s good that you’re working towards getting rid of any hatred.

Before too long you’ll find the right woman and end up with a house full of fancy soaps and towels and pillows that you can’t use. 😛

Hi there,
As a retired RN w friends who have high aspergers, we know they have trouble with social interactions. I am hypomanic. I still think, it is milder as I have no physical energy and my house would be immaculate. I integrated in the hospital work environment. I did have friends. My speech would be fast at times.
This sweet young man I know w hi-aspergers learned to APE NORMAL BEHAVIOR. HE is handsome and had a few girlfriends. He says, he has protected his heart against the social rejections he receives. Does God have someone special for his life? I don’t know.
SEEK YE FIRST, THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.
HAVE short term and long term goals. Some people are called to a single life. God is their partener. Jesus is our best friend. We are never alone. Fill your life up wits the church. Then your family. Your nieces and nephews will be your children.Join KOC.
. your princess may still contact you but you have to have a fll life, a good job, and be aware of how you are presenting yourself to the world. Aping normal.
I gave you Jeremiah 29/11 YESTERDAY. SEEK YE FIRST is higher in this note. Ephesians 3-14 to 21 is good to read to fill up w God’s love. Chose happiness. Walk w Jesus.
in Christ’s love

So glad to see my prayers for you were successful. God Bless You!

Sometimes women hate women, but that’s because they are encroaching on their man!

Hatred is no good, Hating just gets worse, so you are well to try to put a lid on it.

By the way, (ha ha) I wish I could say the same about centipedes!

I can tell you for a fact that it is not actually possible to suffer from Aspergers and manic depression since I have diagnosed Asperger syndrome and I know a thing or two about psychology and if someone tells you otherwise they are not telling you the truth that said it is possible to be depressive and have manic episodes but not be manic depressive and have aspergers you may have one of the other but I doubt you have both and I’ve never hated women I just have a hard time with them

As a matter of fact, there can be comorbidity.

“BD prevalence in adults with AS ranges from 6% to 21.4% of the cases. Relatives of patients with AS showed a doubled risk of being affected by BD and a BD prevalence near to 10%. When comorbid with AS, BD assumes peculiar features which might shape its under-recognition or misdiagnosis (especially schizophrenia when psychotic symptoms are prominent).”

Women aren’t bad, just incomprehensibly annoying much of the time, is all. :yukonjoe:

On a more serious note, yeah, you can’t make people fall in love with you. Or rather you can, but it’s not guaranteed, nor is it guaranteed that they will act on it if you manage to. And even if they will act on it, they may still take enough time that you’re going to think they won’t.

So, people are actually capable of responding positively to interest. In fact, if they are single and available, it’s even somewhat likely that the interest will inspire mutuality. It’s just only a large probability, not a certainty.

Unlike a maths or science tasks, it’s just not something you can force (although I claim that anyone investing the same energy and thought and dedication and actually caring to properly study the subject would have at least a strong fighting chance, just not a guarantee).

If you notice that you keep getting attracted* to women who are not attracted to you, then you may benefit from seeing some sort of a human-nature/relationship professional to help you sort it out.

Having emotionally distant parents sometimes leads to being attracted to emotionally unavailable subjects. Sometimes a fear of commitment or a fear of losing makes people subconsciously choose unattainable targets so as to have an excuse when the relationship attempt ultimately fails. This is perhaps why some women experience such a massive imbalance upon meeting a ‘good’ guy that makes them consider their future, as opposed to just another random handsome to pass away one’s younger years with.

Such temporary sources of romantic and other related excitement are expendable, they are short-term projects, which means long-term incompatibility isn’t relevant. But if a woman sees you as marriage material but not fully compatible, then she may get quite picky and reject you even though she continues to hang out with short-term companions. But this last observation is not real psychology, it’s more like my own personal psychobabble based on scraps of knowledge and experience.

For the record, both you and the woman who ‘doesn’t want you’ may be stuck pursuing the wrong targets.

(* Mere experience of sexual arousal doesn’t even rise to the level of ‘being attracted’.)
